Aramithius
I know they were involved in the Badab War and minced the Lamenters in ship-to-ship combat and are probably one of the Cursed Founding Chapters (maybe using White Scars geneseed, not sure), but is there any more information on them? Sorry if this should be in the fluff forum, for some reason I can't post there. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85353-minotaurs/ Share on other sites
Rogue Trader
That's pretty much it, really. The Badab War - ship to ship fighting with the Lamenters in 908.M41, leading to the eventual surrender of the Lamenters - is about the only campaign info we have for them. They are, as you mentioned, a Cursed Founding Chapter (though I've seen no reference to WS gene-seed), specialising in assault actions. From IA: CF: On many occasions, the Minotaurs have responded to a besieged world`s picas for aid faster than other forces, engaging the enemy in a massive frontal assault and then withdrawing when other chapters would consolidate their position in order to meet a counter-attack. It has been stated by several Imperial commanders that the Minotaurs are an unreliable and unpredictable force that they would prefer to avoid altogether in preference to more tactically balanced, if less assault-orientated allies. The semi-official traits for them can be found in the Badab War rules pdf on the UK GW site. ++edit++ The full IA article (such as it is) can now also be found on the GW site: http://uk.games-workshop.com/spacemarines/cursed/3/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85353-minotaurs/#findComment-987580 Share on other sites
Aramithius
Thanks. I've dug out the IA article and the chapter approved rules for them in my WD collection, but I didn't know about the Badab War supplement. Hopefully it'll work out as more than just having them as a "wind 'em up and let 'em go" army which the IA does.
