Hmm, looks like it wasn't a good idea to skip that tournament  Nice stuff migs, when didya change the name of yout marines? I see these "guard" ending armies a lot these days. I already got two marines types with "guard" endings, so guess I can't rise to the sope box either :lol

Cheers

Migs, your army is beautifully painted and offers a lot of ideas for my own. One question though? Was every army there painted as well as the ones in your picks. I've been to a lot of local tournaments (milwaukee) and I've never seen that many sweet painted armies. That SoB rhino (can't remember actual name) was gorgeous. Keep 'em comin' bud.

They were originally called the Crescent Guard, but since I knew of atleast three other recent Guard ending DIY chapters (yours and Yuri's in the mix), I decided to change it. But Steel Eagles never really did it for me, particularily, as at that time I was using "Flesh over steel". So I went back to CG.

It was one of the best tournies I've been to. I loved the scoring system and the missions were nice and different. It will still take some time before my Marines are ready for competitive play though.

:jaw:

Quite simply, two of the best armies I have ever seen!

Excellent Marine army, love the Warp Portals + Drop Pods concept, and that Blood Pact has the best Daemon conversions I have ever laid eyes upon!

Outstanding! B)

Thanks! Hammer's my very good friend. We paint and play together and over the years have produced a steady current of creative armies, and somewhat dominated the "best army" awards here. Currently we are both tooling up for Helsinki Fanatic and Medusa V.

Err, guys. Learn to read... The crescent guard is Migsulas army, the rest of the armies are from players that were in the tournament where he has shot the pics of his additions, along with random shots of armies. As already stated, the bloodpact is Hammers stuff.

Cheers

Hi Migs,

I have always been a fan of your work, and your Cresent Guard are no exception. They are beautifully painted and converted, you are a true inspiration.

Exactly, your crescent guard are best! they are beautifully converted and painted and on a 10 scale I give them a 10. They are THE inspiration source for marine players!

By the way, your scoputs totally owns everything ever produced by ANYONE! how du you make them?

Thanks,

DO you mean the scouts?

They are made of green stuff, tau back packs, cadian bitz, marine bitz and mostly catachan heavy weapon team hands, which are excellent! All in all, they were the most demanding and time consuming conversions in the army and hence there are only six.

Mig: As said a million times & once more, your models are great B)

I like the Captain with Lighting Claws & how he cover in blood. Also the portals... I remember you posted up a bit background talking about the use of them.

Where is your tournament report??? would be good to read.

Hey! Love the idea for the Warp portals/Drop pods!!! Would you be willing to describe how you made them and what they are made from? I'd love to know and if you dont mind, I'd like to borrow the idea. I've been seriously hard pressed to come up with an easy way of doing Drop pods and this is an awesome idea!

Thanks so much for any input!
