vipertaja
EDIT: I should have stated in the title that it's WIP, sorry. Sorry again for the less than perfect pic and the fact that I forgot to put an IG or marine there for comparison. He essentially tops an ogre by a millimeter or so and a cadian is tall enough to headbutt this guy's belt buckle. (EDIT: Correction, the cadian is a bit taller than that...so it's not as bad as I first thought.) Needless to say, he ended up being a bit...on the bigger side, right? :P I might make a diorama for him...or maybe even of an entire squad of six? Should have taken a pic of him straight from the side though...those pics (especially the one on the right) don't really show his pose as well. I'll try again later to get better pics, ok? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/vipertaja/OvergrownEC.jpg One idea I had was that I might chop off the chainsword of a SOB repentia and put her there as a slave, seeing as they already look the part. And for those who wonder what is in the background...well, it's just where I keep all my dice  : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/vipertaja/KhorneTzeenth.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/vipertaja/SlaaneshNurgle.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/vipertaja/Undivided.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85585-true-scale-and-then-some-emperors-children-marine/ Share on other sites
MAD COMMANDO
they look quite good. so does the dice box B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85585-true-scale-and-then-some-emperors-children-marine/#findComment-990369 Share on other sites
Cypher441
Looks fine, he certainly looks tall enough. But why the small head? That just makes his arms and legs abnormally long. Nice looking GS work. And many a miniature is saved from plastic projectile doom by the infamous dice box. Ahmato
Is this your own GS work, or is it built on top of the regular stuff? Good stuff, nontheless :) Oh, Cypher441, I see you too have read JC's book: "When the Romans invaded England, they went home to celebrate and didn't come back for 80 years. Why? Because they couldn't find it and, if they did ask for directions in France, they didn't listen" B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85585-true-scale-and-then-some-emperors-children-marine/#findComment-990421 Share on other sites
vipertaja
Looks fine, he certainly looks tall enough. But why the small head? That just makes his arms and legs abnormally long. Nice looking GS work. The armor distorts his proportions a bit as it's a bit bigger than the man inside (especially the shoulder pads). I think the problem lies more with his long neck than his head...but as the head wasn't natural to begin with I chose to go with it. He's a chaos marine after all. Mainly I put it there because I feel it looks properly disturbing. :) Is this your own GS work, or is it built on top of the regular stuff? Good stuff, nontheless B) It's built on top. I used the berzerker running legs with spacers as a base. Thunder_god
Good work on the conversion work. I'm about to tackle a true scale project, and everyone is giving me inspiration here. Commander Biguss Brutus
looks fantastic and i wish i could get my greenstuff work looking just like that. To me it doesn't matter too much about perfect proportion when it comes to making chaos marines, they are meant to look freaky, I thikn you've achieved this weirdo freaky looking marine, very nicely done. The only thing that struck me was his tiny boots, makes me think that he forgot to put his marine boots on and he's wearing his marine slippers instead  great work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85585-true-scale-and-then-some-emperors-children-marine/#findComment-990522 Share on other sites
