major_panic
Very nice, but where's the trademark fedora hat? <_< Seriously though, love the old armour and the pose. FaeLi-N
I think it's <DELETED BY THE INQUISITION>ing brilliant, seriously... Looks like a marine should. marcus
Very nice work, proportions are good and the details are superb. The second pic looks good, you've sharpened up the lines of the drawing well. How far are you going to take it ? Big thumbs up  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85639-castigator-veteran-sergeant-jonas/#findComment-991023 Share on other sites

Penitent Dreadnought
It's awfully cool how you can add all the quotes at once... Very nice, but where's the trademark fedora hat? :P I was tempted... The chest looks a bit small though IMO... :P I have trouble with superhuman proportions. That's what I get for basing a drawing off of a GW Marine... How far are you going to take it ? After Veteran Sergeant Jonas is finished, he will be joined by the Castigators' Chapter Master (in terminator armor), along with other various, sundry Castigators personnel and personalities. Commissar Molotov
A Castigator! :) I think he looks good, he shows a lot of promise. I really like the older-style armour, and the legs look archaic enough to fit well with the style. They do look a bit fat though, compared to his torso/waist and the like. Perhaps if they were slimmed down slightly he wouldn't look so disproportionate. The only problem I have with the leg armour is that the knees look to be poorly-protected. Perhaps if he had kneepads or the like? I don't know, it's just a suggestion. Oh, and of course, he needs purity seals. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85639-castigator-veteran-sergeant-jonas/#findComment-991627 Share on other sites

mrgreenshoes
*cough*sonsofkorhol*cough* :D But anyways, excellent drawing! Cpt_Tiberius
This is looking really good. I see the FMA influence now that you point it out. Al is a cool design and I can see why you'd be inspired by him. I think your coming along rather nicely. Your pencil work is well done. How are you going to finish this piece? Pencil, Ink, paint...? I can't get over how well the helmet is turning out. (I also dig his left arm. The pointing hand is looking great). So get the lead out so we can see how this turns out. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85639-castigator-veteran-sergeant-jonas/#findComment-998927 Share on other sites
Commissar Molotov
And another update; the inked version. http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5606/brotherjonas12sd.jpg and something else from the workbench: http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2453/castigatorboltgunners8se.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85639-castigator-veteran-sergeant-jonas/#findComment-1000945 Share on other sites
Sgt.Rob
Cool marines buddy. I dig your line work with ink, nice and clean. Cpt_Tiberius
The inked version looks good. My only critique is that it is a bit light on texture, though this could be remedied in the coloring/or painting stage, so not that big a concern. Also I would have used a segmented metal whip instead of the braided look, but that's just my preference. As for your new piece all I can say is :D ! I really dig the body language and the overall rythym of the piece. The Beaky marine is particularly loverly and makes me want to jump back on my drawing board. Please share more when you have it! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85639-castigator-veteran-sergeant-jonas/#findComment-1001786 Share on other sites
