SkyTalon
Great Model! I'm loving the Champion powering it, that's really original ;) I think I remember seeing this before The Crash, but back then it didn't have the Columns at the front, nor the fire or posts with chains at the side... The posts with chains on the side look great, and as well as looking royal, just made my laugh--I could just imagine a sign hanging over the Chain: "NO-ENTRY. DAEMON-POSSESSED CHAMPIONS ONLY FROM HERE ON IN." LOL :) Excellent Mini and conversion mate, your ideas are so fresh and original :D One thing though: where did you get that fire from?! 'Cause I can't think of any fire like that that's made by GW... Now get it painted! :P SkyTalon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85679-war-alter-of-the-prophets/#findComment-991394 Share on other sites

'Cause I can't think of any fire like that that's made by GW... Now get it painted! ;) SkyTalon thanks! I try to make anything i create these day as stand outish as i can. The fire actually comes from a 8" Iron Man/War machine action figure. Ahh painting... well painting is the had part.. i hate to ruin a cool looking conversion buy slaping paint on it hahaha! Since it will only go with my Wordbearers when i play 2k point games it hasent been needed on the feild of battle yet. Aquilla
I think I remember this. The champion idea is great. Where are the pillars from? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85679-war-alter-of-the-prophets/#findComment-991409 Share on other sites
Nicorex
Humm lets see.. Okay the Front and Rear Pillars and the rear of the battle cannon come from a Mage Knight set. the big flames from a Action Figure(War Machine). then a basic defiler body, plastic card, some chain, guitar string and a whole bunch of GS. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85679-war-alter-of-the-prophets/#findComment-991414 Share on other sites
Master Chaplain Astador
It looks great mate. Idk if you remember me but I met you at Chicago GD last summer. Keep up the good work, I liked the way your army looked on the table top, shame we didn't go against each other! ale0x
Love it! I'm a sucker for over-the-top mobile shrine/temple/altar type things ontop of vehicles. Excellent job. Rune Priest Gribnoor
Do that is amazingly cool. On tiny note, maybe think about giving it a bit more bulk? That platform display is amazing, true inspiring stuff, but I cant help but get the impression from the picutres that it needs a bit more bulk to its underside and make it look more rock solid and tought, it seems a bit under-supported. But thats just me. That is one coll model dude. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85679-war-alter-of-the-prophets/#findComment-991680 Share on other sites
Penitent Dreadnought
it needs a bit more bulk to its underside Strategically placed parchment ought to work for that. Or maybe... wire the flames for light? And put the power source(s) under the platform? Nicorex
It will have a bunch of banners and pennets hanging around it after the painting is finished. I have been working on paper banners. trying diffrent makes of paper, like papyrus. that should hide the lack of bulk betwen top and body. thanks for all your imput guys Hey MC Astador! hows it been? Yean Chicago was a blast last year. I havent had the chance to go to any GT's this year yet though. I am going to on in Houston next weekend though. Brother Gluttious
I'd like to see a few more pictures of this model from the sides and underneath. It's really sparked my interest, quite unique, great concept and really well done. Excellent job I must say. Keep up the good work on the Defiler. Cheers, MCA.
