GreyDeath
Ok so you read the title and say Tactical Dreadnought. Cool so a smaller version of a Dreadnought. Sweet thats what I want. And then you get the Termies and well there not like that. So I started making mine to be an actual Tactical Dreadnought Suit. Here is what I have so far. What do you think? Front http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL169/1054762/8763629/142083901.jpg side http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL169/1054762/8763629/142083903.jpg Back http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL169/1054762/8763629/142083904.jpg And I am going a little Salamanders I guess with the Flamer and Melta? I just liked them and wanted them. I still have alot to do but wanted to post him as I am calling it a night. I also noticed his shoulders and arms are a little high for his head. So I lowered them just after this photo. Thanks. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/ Share on other sites
blamb
nice work. It would probably look better with a close combat weapon 9possibly built in like a dready. GreyDeath
Thanks I will see tomorrow and take off the flamer and do a power claw in small scale instead. I might be able to do something.. might. Thanks for the input and help. Appreciate that. Capt. Hyperion
impressive, but im curious as to where his arms go. his shoulders cant be that broad. GreyDeath
I would believe his arms go into the boxes on the side of him where he controls the weapons etc. Part of the reason I lowered the arms and boxes next to him. I will work on sanding and feeling gaps etc tomorrow. And the ideas of the power arm and a sword just came to mind. So I will see what I come up with after some sleep. Thanks. MAD COMMANDO
impressive, but im curious as to where his arms go. his shoulders cant be that broad. What arms. look at his face cant you see he is crying out in pain :) Love the suit. though i wouldnt say im going to replace termie's with a thing along those lines. ZAChos
Give them loincloths so they don't look too top heavy. I also would decrease the width of the boxes slightly. RADU LYKAN
Can you imagine the look on a tau's face when a squad of those teleport in next to him :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-991775 Share on other sites
Tubal
I would believe his arms go into the boxes on the side of him where he controls the weapons etc.I'd say that since he's a proper dreadnought the armour should be bionic :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-991800 Share on other sites

tomgilat
impressive, but im curious as to where his arms go. his shoulders cant be that broad. Well, considering that most terminator clad marines have their shoulders positioned roughly where most people have ears... Let's just say he's genetically engineered and call it a day? [Edit] Either that or they're all hunchbacks. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-991911 Share on other sites
GreyDeath
Thanks guys. And if your looking then you have probable seen the new photos posted up already. I have changed the Weapons to be more Terminator. So he know has an Assault Cannon and a Chain Sword... I moved the boxes next to him so his arms can fit in there better. And still adding details etc. I am boxing in the armor on the leg and will have some new photos when I am happy with him and have him primered up ready to show. Thanks for all the input. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-992004 Share on other sites
mesmile
I like the idea though I think the assault cannon is Way to Big. Also maybe you could cover up the torso a bit so it don Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-992016 Share on other sites
Azazal
That's just odd looking, but I like it. for some reason it reminds of those short little guys we're not allowed to mention :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-992055 Share on other sites
Obliterator
Looks like some end-of-level baddy from a computer game. Heck, I like it :D . Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-992057 Share on other sites
Brother Titanicus
Looks mean - quite an achievement but the advice you have been given is worthwhile. Brother Gluttious
You know, I am not sure if I'd use it as a SM troop, that would make one awesome looking Obliterator The size and mass of it would make a great one I think. Humble opinion. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/85711-tactical-dreadnought-armor/#findComment-992133 Share on other sites
Venerable Jazzman
I really like it: my one suggestion would be swap the ammo hopper on his back and put it straight onto the back of the ass-can arm, drop the existing sticky-out ammo-box. Don't know what you'd put on his back though, either the existing Termi piece, or maybe a big rocket launcher for a cyclone..? insaniak
Nice work! The hopper on his back seems a little uneccessary though... I'd swap it for a mini version of the Dreadnought power pack. And his legs look like they could use a little beefing up and some enhanced hydraulics. Excellent idea though... Capt. Hyperion
excellent, the lowered shoulder blocks make the design look imminently more plausible. nice work. i look foward to seeing it painted. good luck. Druss the legend
Fantastic!!!! The Torso does need befeing upa bit though I think, although I think in the ened here you might end up with a scratch built dreadnaught if you do that.
