hwod o you paint em, do you just start wiht black then mix of black and regal or what, they look awesome, are the bases hand crafted to moulds or something, anyway, stunning squad, excellent painting, i dont like the really light colored ultramarines, i prefer the deep blue and it looks like you go it down,

Thanks for your feedback guys, have missed this really... now I even may procede to painting the WIP Deathwatch...

To your questions/comments:

- dark blue - can't help it, but it seems that every batch of UM's I do comes out a bit darker than the previous one... I kinda like the dark blue colour more... But would like to stop at this stage, hope will be able to. :P

- extreme highlights - well since I started gaming, I realised fine highlights are not really visible on the gaming table and the figs look a bit plain and flat. The new figs I did with stronger highlights seem to better stand out on the table top (one has to consider poor lighting and a greater distance to watch the figs...)

- painting technique - you may chack my humble web site, there is a step-by-step turorial showing all steps of my current UM painting technique - link is in my sig

- urban bases - these are DIY using plasticard tiles from a train hobby store - you just have to cut round shapes of the sheet and create some damage effects with a hobby knife + add some rubish around...

You may get a better idea how are the bases done from these two pics (WIP + final shot) of some new termie bases I did for my old fashioned termies:

I plan to add a tutorial on the bases on my site hopefuly quite soon...

Thanks again folks for your positive comments!
