Comandante Alexos
Latest creation for my army: http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/5182/immagine0319yn.th.jpg http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/2968/immagine0340wo.th.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86736-death-guard-rhino/ Share on other sites
Nicorex
That looks Great. I have one little problem with it. Its very clean for being dedicated to Nurgle. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86736-death-guard-rhino/#findComment-1004468 Share on other sites
Azazal
Now this is funny. I like it because it is clean. Seems like all of the DG armies out there have mutated, tentacle covered vehicles. I like the look of well used and run down, but still working, I don't picture the followers of Nurgle as being big on maintenance. Comandante Alexos
Yes that's true! For my army I have used a different style. I like a simple look, rusty but not completely rotten, more like the pre-Heresy then the post period. Even for my trooper I have adopted a light touch :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86736-death-guard-rhino/#findComment-1004481 Share on other sites
Obliterator
I like it. When modelling Nurgle vehicles, it's easy to go overboard on the nasty stuff, forgetting that you're actually modelling a working vehicle. I really like your Rhino. While the green is still 'clean', the rust on the edges really bring it to life. Nicorex
You guys are right, I should have been more clear. I was not talking about being covered in tenticales and nurglings. I just ment like caked on mud on the treads, exaust fumes near the mufflers, that kind of thing. I love the rusty look you have given it and its a damm nice paint job. Comandante Alexos
And you're right too Nicorex, for the next vehicle I'll surely follow your advice! This army has been painted in few days for an incoming tournament and probably at the end of the event I'll sell it. But now I'm working on a double project: the next week I'll start collecting and painting two Chaos Armies! I still don't know if they will be Thousand Sons- World Eaters o Iron Warrior- World Eaters. :D Surely World Eaters will be the first. I really love red, and the idea of a red tide army deployed is too strong to resist. Still don't know the second army?... What do you think? rabblerouser
I like the heavy pre-shading I hate the "rust" because it looks like ink, slopped on liberally (rather than rust) I think some caked on mud and more paint chips around the edges would improve your rhino Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/86736-death-guard-rhino/#findComment-1004547 Share on other sites

One army with these 2 groups in it? or just 2 seprate armys? If it is a single army you have but one choice. Fluff wise you wouldnt have Thousand Sons and World Eaters in the same army. So this is what you do. Make a Very nice Iron Warrior Lord, fill your 2 troops choices with more Iron Warriors geared up with heavy weapons and do the standered 4 heavys, I would go with 2 dreads, a basilisk and a Pred . Then make all 3 Elite Choises tooled up 8 man Zerker squads. Now you have a Super hard core assault force backed up with some massive long range fire power. EEK! you cant do that anymore. sorry sorry sorry.. I would just build a Zerker army them with 2 dreads, 2 squads of bloodleters and a ton of zerkers.
