It's very clean, which is very good, but it's a bit bland and flat. If you want to bring it up to the next level, try inking the silvers with a black/dark blue ink, and the golds with a black/ dark brown ink to bring out some definition. Maybe some watered down brown in the recesses of the bone and scrolls, and highlight the edges of the black armour with a very dark grey. Also I'd do something about the base, because the sand and rock is real, it looks TOO real compared to the rest of the model, I'd paint it black then drybrush it so it doesn't stand out as much.
Thanks for the feed back. I'll post another pic when I get the highlights on the armor. It looks really dull right now because in this stage of the ole assembly line I have got a good base coat of paint on the model and sanded the base. I just gave it a spray of clear dullcoat so I can field him Saturday night. My whole Utramarine Army has the same sand/rock base so I have to stick with it.
I like the simple "at ease" pose. And the way the 'nid blood is "breaking the fourth wall" by leaking down the side of the base. But I do agree it could use a little highlights, particularily on the handle of his crozius. I might suggest some Codex or Fortress gray mixed with a little black.
