Blindhamster
hey folks, i did this model around a month ago, he is the leader of my necromunda gang, and hes on a certain mission that only a select few know about, he wears the scout armour as it makes moving around a hive much easier. apologies for the quality of the pictures http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0026.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0019.jpg from the front http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0024.jpg sort of the side, i know the pistol barrel isnt drilled... thats because my pin vice snapped ^_^ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0025.jpg here is the back and other side, you can just about make out the robed angel tattoo on his arm. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0022.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/blindhamster/necro/PICT0023.jpg couple of size comparissons, again you can see the tattoo. Dominar_Mortis
he looks cool, kinda like arnie in predator :( . i am also making my scouts true scale. i'm adding about 1.0mm: 0.5 at the waist, 0.5 under the boots. i haven't yet tried repositioning the legs, so this will undoubtably add more to the hieght. questions for you: 1 - what method of true scale are you using (similar to mine or something completly different) 2 - is that a standard sized scout chainsword? 3 - for the love of god tell me how you do your skin tones :P DM ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87538-true-scale-dark-angel-scout/#findComment-1011132 Share on other sites

Primarch16
Wow he looks nice, but why does this model scream 'imperial gaurd' to me . I'm not often a fan of marine scouts with arms showing, but this guy looks really nice. Bra'tac
that looks very cool! what arms are those? they're not catachans are they? they look very catachan to me,... model looks good, one thing though MOLDLINES on the boltpistol and chainsword... 1000marines
looks cool, I actually went "wow" softly. But why did you go through all this trouble of making him look tall and all "true scaly" without de-moldlining him and drilling out the boltpistol muzzle..... Blindhamster
i was unable to drill out pistol as pin vice broke (mentioned in first post) as for moldlines... honestly i hadnt noticed the little one on the chainsword... the chainsword is a marine one for added massiveness. hmmm method for truescaling... he has a 0.5mm between his torso and legs, and 1mm in his legs (between the boots and knee) other things i added included a GS neck... he no longer looks deformed  pads to the knees as I imagine him crawling about in the hives of some place like necromunda. and a sache type bag over one shoulder. I opted for bare arms as it took away slightly from the scout look (afterall hed be trying to hide a bit while in a hive world) there is an alternate version of the model with a cloak and hood, this one is unpainted though.. maybe i'll get pictures soon. still need to make a power armour version of him and a watcher to follow him ^_^ about the skin tone... I did a base of scorched brown (as its not quite black) then built up layers working from dwarf flesh up to elf flesh up to a half and half elf flesh and skull white. ithen used glazes of brown and purple in deeper areas of the arms, the hands and around the eyes. he does still need his eyes painted though. the two with him are a mix of catachan and cadian parts, theres anouther 7 of them too ^_^ they are the gangers im using, i decided to have them being ex-guardsmen and probably one or two ex storm troopers.(of course the DA would execute them once his mission was completed... cant leave any witnesses  ) so yes, i'll remove the mold line on the barrel of the pistol when i drill it out (still need a new pin vice) and the one on the vent of the chainsword at the same time) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87538-true-scale-dark-angel-scout/#findComment-1011234 Share on other sites
