Villains of Virtue (Short Fluff)

------------------------

(To cut down on your reading and more importantly my typing I'm doing this short form though there will be a more refined version eventually.)

There was prison uprising on the Desert Prison Planet of Carnaatis. It was an imperial run facility for hardened criminals. They could not contain it so they requested aid which was granted in the form of a Space Wolf Strike Cruiser.

En Route the Geller field failed in the warp playing havoc with the Ships Systems resulting in the ship smashing into the planet with almost all hands killed. Any Marines which survived the crash were systematically killed by the escaped prisoners.

Realizing that with no available space craft and the harsh desert climate they would still effectively be prisoners in the prison facility. They left the apothecary alive (who is half mad from the warp) and forced him to start implanting the geneseeds in them. Therefore they could at least travel the planet in search of a way off or a more suitable habitat.

They will defend their freedom with extreme prejudice.

--------------------

Though they are an offshoot of the Space Wolves I'm playing A DIY Trait chapter.

The name is the prisoners tongue in cheek name for themsleves with an attempt at still sounding Space Marine like.

I have 40 Marines Painted but no DigiCam. There are no helmets in the army and they all have long hair. There is a lot of conversions in the army. In fact every model in some way or another.

I'll try to hijack a camera soon.

Must have been 'youth criminals' cause geneseed don't work for adults.. the aspirant must be 10-14 years old.

And I can't see pre-teens killing marines.

Also, one strike cruiser would only have about 100 suits of armour... and very limited pool of armour.

And it is questinable if apocatherium of strike cruises would hold organs for entire company...

mayby you could have chapter rectruiting from violent hive or so. To explain the ragged look of marines.

Sorry, this story just does'nt feel plausible enough, but them again I'm fluff monodominant.

It isn't necessarily a fulll chapter as it was just a bunch of renegades getting implanted.

And their age could account for them being a small chapter as a lot of them would not survive.

It also could be another type of ship.

But I will never have more than 70 marines no matter how their fielded.

If GW can ignore bits of their own fluff than I'm sure I can take a little artistic license for the coolness factor.

Example: Why is it they keep modelling bolter round in various places or showing them in artwork. If you read anything about the bolter it uses caseless ammunition. The answer is......becasue it's cool to see spent casing flying out of say an assault cannon.

well actualy cant adults obtain the geneseeds? i think somewhere i read that its not imposable for adults to receive them...also to obtain all those geneseeds they could take them from the spacewolves they killed...along with if any are in storage. but a problem i see is that it takes more then a apathocary to make people into space marines...and there probly wouldnt be enough recources there to do the sergery for them

i agree though that this realy has some holes in it but is an interesting concept

Lit the other organs and the enzymes that make them work. Also we know that implanting space wolf gene-seed makes aspirant literally carnivous fro a while... they go mindless and hunt for flesh to empower the growth of muscle and bones..and it is noted that not nearly all survive this. See. CODEX Space Wolves or their IA article. Also the original GW article about creating marines sets strict age limit to process.

And when it comes to logic and reason, GW really doesn't stand on a plinth... (deuterium core bolter shells anyone ? ) But that's why people would like to see fan work as paragon.

"GW can screw up it's universe and so can I" sounds as 'easy' way out. "Something causing troubles for one cool story? well just ignore it."

but hey, your miniatyres, your fluff.

Well i am supposed to be an Unsanctioned Successor chapter from the Spacewolves. And the prison Facility would have a full med lab plus whatever was recovered from the ship whatever ship it will be in the end. This is supposed to be a very large Prison.

And this is what I mean by unflushed out. You poke the holes and I try to plug them with fluff and Even if it still sinks in the end it will end up with slower leaks. =)

Thats why I'm looking for input.I'm not as familiar witht the fluff as a lot of you are.

-So far it would probably have to be bigger than a strike cruiser for the resources. no prob

-Space Wolf geneseed so they could have been planted as Adults albeit with a low survival rate(look at our prisons a lot of these guys would probably be in peak physical shape) no prob (to write anyway)

I don't want to ignore the fluff I want to have as plausible explanations as I can come up with.

wel, actually bolters take shells, lasguns don't have any solid ammo.

if you look in the rulebook, you will see it uses conventional ammo similar to dumdum ammunition

Yes, but in numerous places it states that the Boltgun literally fire small self-proppeling missiles, ergo; There is hardly any recoil and also no cases.
