syne
I must say, I really like your painting style. Imho, it's a great look for vehicles (consider it immitated :D ). As constructive crticism, perhaps a heavier ratio of water to paint might give it a less pasty look (unless it's what you're going for). Keep the posts coming! DanTheAngry
Yeah the paint did come out kinda pasty lookin on the sides. There are like a thousand layers of red since I couldn't get it to come out right and I touched all of them while they were drying... Up next I think is my Inquisitor followed by some non-power armoured stuff since my army will be mostly Guard, so it wont be posted here... Master of Sanctity
I like the dirt, a lot; that's not easy to do. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87981-inquisitorial-chimera-pics/#findComment-1015083 Share on other sites
Tubal
You probably should have applied the decals before varnishing, it helps them blend in better. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87981-inquisitorial-chimera-pics/#findComment-1015442 Share on other sites
DanTheAngry
I've also noticed that the decals dont adhere to a varnished surface... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87981-inquisitorial-chimera-pics/#findComment-1015745 Share on other sites
Heimdal
Nice vehicle. I`ve always liked the remote controlled turret-idea on Chimeras. Makes them look extremely more high tech. However, I`m not a fan of the red "frames" though, surrounding the drivers compartment and at the gunports, it makes it look somewhat boring because the only colours you see is just red and black. Consider of exchange the red on those frames to a metallic colour such as a gold colour of any kind. Or what ever you consider being a good choice. DanTheAngry
I origionally had the frames gold but, it was just too much and it didn't fit with the storm troopers as well.
