[UPDATED] Spacemarine angel

Recommended Posts

Nice, are all the troops going to have wings?

It was a nice idea to keep the backpack.

Can't wait to see the whole unit. I don't know if it might be better to base the units on larger 40mm bases, like Termis, as I'd see their wings getting in each other's way with smaller bases.

*twitch*...pegusi...*twitch*

'Pegasi'.

I'm liking that model a lot. It looks really good although I would add something to the top of the backpack. Maybe I could offer you an alternative colour scheme to what you were think of, white armor, brown wings and red robes. I like the terminator broken wing idea. Can't wait to see this model finished let alone an entire squad.

Looks good, but I'm afraid I am going to have to report this to the inquisition, mutations and such, sign of chaos.

That looks awesome! Can you post the complete bits list, I have so much problems finding left-handed swords. The only thing different I would do is use a Brettonian knight errant head instead of the helmet. Anyways, congrats!

I'm pretty sure the marine is all bits from the Black Templars squad box, and the wings are from a Bretonnian Pegasus Knight.

Lol yeah i expect the Inquisition to come calling as well (of course, no one would expect it :) ...)

The Inquisitor would come along and cook some chicken wings. Unfortuneatly it wouldn't be chicken :P

Smells of Tzeentch to me

Ah well, Sanguinius had wings, no complaining from me a BA player.

Yad

First off, don't make gold colored swords, make gold colored hilts. Gold, is not a strong metal, and shouldn't be used for blades.

Other than that I think it looks good, tho I find myself wondering that your squads will be pretty widely dispersed because of the wings, and jamming them into cover close to each other might prove a problem. Tho, I would be pretty sure, that such small game mechanical issues are not really that much of a concern.

In my opinion, it would be nice, to see the wings in white, and the spacemarine in some form of perhaps creamy coloured armor, with the wings in a blueish hue of white, to get that angelic feel to them. Perhaps have shoulder trims in gold as well.

All in all some intresting stuff, they just have to be some form of kindred spirits to my own Angels. ;) With bigger wings tho.

Legacy 40k: do you the Inquistion would mind a chapter that mirrors the image of one of the Emperors primarchs? hmm.....

and NMM gold would be ... different. but it might work out, I believe, especially considering the fact that everything else are will be some kind of white, apparently :D Pure and Angelic ;)

and considering tha ammount of blades that are black, blue, and green... :P

a full Assault squad like that will be impressive! B)

Ps. Crono, I recognise that dude, he

I had some ideas for how you could have an army like this.

Use the trait that lets you take Assault squads as elites, this'll give you heaps of these awesome dudes.

I had a thought for your troop choices as well.

If the wings are actually part of the marine you could say fluff wise that they are still developing and use scouts with small wings or big stumps to show that they are the young ones. For the Tac marines you could give them stumps and say that they are the cast off from the assault squads and in training to join the terminator squads.

If they are part of the armour you don't need to do anything special and just come up with a reason for why they arn't in the air with their brothers.

On colour scheme,

I think a white would make these guys look REALLY sweet. You could then paint the wings to look like eagle's wings. So several brown tones and the white armour.

Alternitavely you could paint the armour black and give them either whit or black wings.

Just my opinion.

Feel free to bite back, what do i know about angels?

I'm just a wolf.

Well, yes... This is the inquisition after all. If they were around during the time of Sanguinius, I'm sure they'd have had something to say about it. As it is, they arent big fans of the bloodangels because of the whole rage thing.
