Sons of Dagda "Sacred Relic"

Recommended Posts

Ahoy,

For those of you who don't know, the Sons of Dagda are a Chapter based on highland Scotland that TheDeinonychus and I have developed. Needless to say, the idea for this model has come up more than a few times.

Yes, those are bagpipes. :D This guy is going to be part of my Chappie's command squad when I get around to building it, and the pipes will count as the Sacred Relic. I figured the effects fit well with the pipes. ;)

Once the GS cures more and doesn't keep squishing in my fingers I'll go back and smooth it out and fix up the pipes themselves, but right now it's still too soft to work with properly. Also, as a side note, the tabard-thing is a test for a 'half-kilt' idea I had for my Scouts, so that they could still wear the clan-company tartan but have increased mobility.

And yes, I know pipes are supposed to be carried under the left arm, and yes, I know they're supposed to be played with both hands, but would you tell a seven-foot-tall tall superhuman in power armour that he's playing them wrong? ;)

Now, let the Doom Siren jokes begin...

Cheers,

Barret

So how may rolls did you buy to get siren?

(had to be done)

Very cool. The idea is sweet, but the execution...

I realize that you will go back to it when the GS is more workable, but boy does it ned it.

For an extremely rough draft, it has some very cool promise.

Just do your opponents a favor and not bring a tape deck playing "amazing grace" pipe solo. You will be thanked, surely.

Yes. I called you Shirley.
