-Q-
Anyone know of any pics of the sides and back of the GD trophies? I've only ever seen the straight on photos. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88276-golden-demon-trophy-360/ Share on other sites

thunderball44
Very nice. You know, one of the winners should paint one of those up some day :D At least you'd be sure it'd look good! Congrats on the win by the way DV8. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88276-golden-demon-trophy-360/#findComment-1017601 Share on other sites

mario
I am not sure but I think that the pedestal is different for each type (gold, solver, bronze). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88276-golden-demon-trophy-360/#findComment-1017829 Share on other sites
DV8
The pedestals are all the same. The only difference is the little plaque that reads off the category (i.e. "Warhammer 40,000 Single Miniature"). No Remorse
Shhh.. Don't take my idea!!! I was thinking the exact same thing when I got back to the hotel, that if I won another bronze next year the year after I would apint it up for open catagory... damn now the cat is out of the bag lol and painting your demon will be the next big thing :) Ja Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88276-golden-demon-trophy-360/#findComment-1017943 Share on other sites
wulfenkind
so... is the thing made of real gold? was thinking of melting down the beastie and selling it for what its worth...(if i ever win one) :) . DV8
HAH. I wish. It's painted/colored plastic. Which is a pity. I'd prefer at least some sort of metal trophy, but considering how many they must produce, I can understand why. mario
so... is the thing made of real gold? was thinking of melting down the beastie and selling it for what its worth...(if i ever win one) . IIRC these are Forgeworld resin statues. Black primer and a good old metallic drybrush. tkkultist
Mario you are correct - at least all of mine are resin.... and drybrushed. Also to the person who mentioned painting one - it has been done numerous times (at least 3 that I have seen) and no one has ever place with such a model. Sojan
DV8, Nice work on that bronze. This year had easily the most competitive entries I have ever seen in a Canadian 40k single category. I was fortunate to make first cut even. I can't say that I agree with placing of the silver and gold. As good as that kroot was the ultramarine librarian was pretty impressive. Anyways my congrats!
