ZAChos
Ghostly hands is a big nono for me I'm afraid. While they are into death and damnation themes big time, ghostly hands is a bit too chaotic. What they do like is skeletons set into the sides of their vehichles. firelord43
If you want to get your land raider scary enough why not have a skeleton holding/ manning the storm bolter would be difficult I think would be awsome if you could Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88337-painting-project/#findComment-1018483 Share on other sites
Chronophague
i am gonna use the tutorial i found on B&C for allowing doors to open and close Well, you already have a opening ramp on the front, the side doors have bad visibility inside, so it's more an issue if you want a "lego" land raider or not. By "lego" I mean a tank that has all parts movable etc, sorta like a toy you can push around on the floor and make "wroom" sounds with. ;) If you want to "win" the competition, then opening doors should be last on your list. Convert the model, if you want to get extra points for imaginative ideas, but a land raider can win ANY contest if you paint it well, since it has large surfaces ideal for freehand stuff and whatnot. Anyway, get to work on your ghost hands and stuff, and post some WIPs if you really want help. If you keep it all theoretical and just talk about what you "want" to do, people will lose intrest in the thread. Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88337-painting-project/#findComment-1018534 Share on other sites

All my landraiders have treads glued to them, but i might just do that to a rhino or bike squad. thanks for the idea :P -t14 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88337-painting-project/#findComment-1019160 Share on other sites

The_Chaplain
Yeah, I'm working on a specialised army land raider, but I'll clue you in on a cool idea I'm doing. Take the crusader frag launchers, cut the skully part off as well as filing down the launchers. Plasticard over these, and have one that "juts out" like a platform. On the lascannon sponsons, take the hurricane bolter shieldy things (the big side parts with the winged skulls) and do the same thing, make a platform along the bottom of both. This makes perfect "mounts" for army themed soldier statues. Attach a model to evry mount, paint it brass and finished! Oh, and Dark Elf cauldron of blood candles are great accents for the creepy motif you're no doubtedly going for. Hope that helps, good luck!!!
