Nicorex
Well I need a little feedback guys. I am slowly working on my Crusader/Spartan, since it will have dozer blades I wanted to know if you think I am going in the right direction with what I have created. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nicorex/Marines/DSCN0635.jpg And some bigger pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nic...es/DSCN0634.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nic...es/DSCN0633.jpg Thanks guys and gals! Ahmato
You put metal Bolters on it! :) I wondered why there wasn't so many Nicorex threads about, it seems you were busy trying to get them Bolters on straight :) I don't really like the Hull-Mounted MM, but then that might be because I have a distaste for any weapon mounted on the hell, as that literally forces the thing to turn around to bear the weapon on the enemy. I would perhaps have it as a co-axial mount on the Assault Cannon's, perhaps one melta gun each side of it? Guest mentors
i think it looks good apart from the dozer blades they look way too fragile, i think the best way to put dozer blades on one of these is to try and copy this years uk gd slayer sword winner. http://uk.games-workshop.com/download/popu...rs/c03-gold.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1018827 Share on other sites
Dammekkos
Nope, those dozers wouldn't be able to mave any rubble, they're angled incorrectly. Check the GDUK 2005 sword winner for some nice dozer blades. Nicorex
Yes I used the metal hurricane bolters (took almost 6 hours to just get them right even with pinning). I hate myself for it, but I just couldnt make something I was happy with. Okay so the dozer blades look to thin, yeah well they were just to get the idea across of what I was going for, I knew they needed bulking. I dont really like the GD winners ones. they look to close to me. leave to little room if it was actually moving. yes I know little plastic men that will never actually move. I will fiddel with it some more. thanks guys Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1018847 Share on other sites
Kyarl Deathaxe
Hello ;) Non to keen on those blades on the front so heres a better idea... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Deathaxe/Warhammer/crusader.jpg Hope it helps, the quote sez it all :D In order to build the dozer like ive shown use a few of the old leman russ dozer blades or maybe even a few of the newer ones for that more industrial marine look. It's not a matter of bulk Nicorex, it's the angle, as Dammekkos said. The point of dozer blades is to lift the crap in front, and perhaps to push it aside, depending on design. Your dozer blades would collect and compact the gubbins in front of the tank, so that it would end up having to go over the dense mound it had created in front of itself. There are various consequences of that which I won't detail. The main thing is that your design for dozer blades simply wouldn't work. Any techmarine who suggested such a design would be demoted back to a battle company as a regular battle brother IMO! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1018869 Share on other sites

Flames of Purgation
Hi, Maybe strengthen the bracing on the blades? I always think of a LR as something that goes through obstacles - the blades should look as if they make that even more likely. Kyarl Deathaxe
So how exactly do you expect Terminator's to 'Hop' over that? Unless i'm mistaken most tanks have ever a lifting device which moves the blade or they are removable  Nick :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1018894 Share on other sites
Captain Hat
What I would suggest is looking up pictures of the "mine clearance" dozers that they attatch to the front ends of modern MBTs in desert combat, and trying to pick up a few visual cues from those. They're not exactly dozer blades, but they look the part and I'm pretty sure you could make something similar work for a LR. Penitent Dreadnought
Secure a counterweight to a bar underneath the top door of the asault ramp. Then you attach the middle section of the dozer blades to the top of the same door. That's what I would do. pinkbunny
try a ram, a landraider does not push thing aside, nor go around them, it goes THROUGH them Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1018994 Share on other sites
Nicorex
Okay how about this? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nicorex/Marines/DSCN0636.jpg and some bigger pics. I dont want the dozer blades to interfear with the frag launchers, MM or AC. Yes i know they still look thin, I'm not going to bulk them up till i know what shape i want them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nic...es/DSCN0637.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nic...es/DSCN0638.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nic...es/DSCN0639.jpg As always let me know what you think. Ahmato
Cut some spikes into it, and curve them slightly, it will look fine IMO, although, I'm not too sure if the side bits should be there. I mean surely the tank doesn't drive diagonally :jaw: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1019173 Share on other sites
T14
Non to keen on those blades on the front so heres a better idea...+++snip+++ Or just plasticcard. Here is an old WIP http://www.pbase.com/templar14/image/22653368.jpg I find the idea of a split DB very appealing, though. Bulk them out some and give them teeth :jaw: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1019187 Share on other sites
SpartanMarine
Okay how about this? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Nicorex/Marines/DSCN0636.jpg AHHHHHH ZOMBIE TERMINATOR RUN!!!!!!Ok anyways back on topic....that's so cool>< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1083307 Share on other sites
wokkers
i really like that. good job! :tu: just bulk up those dozer blades and add some 'spikes/teeth' and your away. The_Chaplain
I would still curve them a little and add pistons onto the dozer blade mount (to give the illusion that they can move) but other than that the are pretty decent good job. BTW why a hull mounted MM? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88386-need-some-feedback/#findComment-1083852 Share on other sites
