Angus the Unruled
Doing a Navigator House Belisarius Army. The have a personal guard of elite human soldiers (which I will be using guardsmen for) as well as a contingent of Wolfblades (sent from the space wolves in exchange of spacecraft and navigators). I will be using the deathwatch kill team rules to play them which works well because space wolves have true grit and can get all the cool ammo etc as they work for one of the richest organisations in the Imperium. Work in Progress Shots. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/WolfbladesWIP.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade5.jpg I was going for a He Man esk sort of "I have the power pose" don't really think it worked out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade3.jpg You can use a heavy bolter as an assault weapon in a deathwatch kill team, so I am building up a stabalizing robotic arm at the back attached to his backpack, kinda like the heavy weapons guys on aliens (still needs work) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/AngustheUnruled/Wolfblade1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/ Share on other sites
blamb
I love the GS work, and the poses except for the melta guy. He looks like he's near a hurricane (apart from the hair) and is being blown away. but the others are great, esspecialy the guy with the lightning claw. i can just see him doing some crazy jump into combat. pinkbunny
from some angles the LC guy looks like hes tripping over the tank traps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/#findComment-1022258 Share on other sites
c02
they all look cool could you post theresquad list and equipment? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/#findComment-1022262 Share on other sites
Pugski
The poses are all very cool, but I have one single nitpick about them. They all have the same hairstyle... Wolves are a bit more individual than that I would say. Hairstyles (even for the Wolves) come in all sorts and sizes, maybe try and reflect that in the mini's as well. For example, Ragnar (the starplayer in Wolfblade) has a topknot. Logan has braids, etc... At the moment they look a little bit 'codex' to me, with all the same hairstyles. They are all great conversions though and I love the action you gave all of them. Heimdal
Good ideas and use of bitz. Howerver, I concur with the hair issue and I`m suprised that you only in rare cases repositioned the legs (or foot). You seem to handle the GS quite well. So at the moment those legs seem out of place, too static for the rest of the poses. Harald Fairmane
I love the GS work, and the poses except for the melta guy. He looks like he's near a hurricane (apart from the hair) and is being blown away. I didn't think about the pose like that until you said it, so when I scrolled back up I laughed the crap out of me :) Anyways, nice work. I've seen your painted ones, you had the same-hairstyle on those too, but they were really cool, the hair brought them together. You could probably add some hair-changes but it is'nt that big of a deal if you ask me.. Lord Ragnarok
I love the idea and effort so far. I echo the comments about the hair and the "tripping" LC wolf. Maybe pin his foot to the girder he is leaping from? Great effort tho. A great use of the Wolfblade fluff. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/#findComment-1022360 Share on other sites
Artimis Vergadin
He's not tripping! Nonsense! He's just trying to get more...er parrellel with the ground so he can pull off a better matrix move..? :) LOVE it! I'm gonna show my bro this as he plays wolves, he'd love to see this! Mxylplik
Love the conversion work. I could drop your whole squad in the middle of my army and no one would notice. My whole army has long hair and most have beards or moustaches and are heavily converted. Definately try some different hairstyles though and beard styles. Look up beards on the internet and go wild. I have also done a beret a cowboy hat and a WWII era american military helmet. But I'm wierd. I also need a camera. =( -Colin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/#findComment-1022402 Share on other sites
Brother-Librarian Swintha
I second the motion for different hair styles. They all look pretty much the same. The LC guy would looker cooler, in my opinion, with a mowhawk. :) Very nice conversions, and good use of bits. I might have to  that LC idea for one of my own Space Pups. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/88881-wolfblade-conversions/#findComment-1022420 Share on other sites
Angus the Unruled
Cheers for all the feedback guys. They are still all a work in progress. At the moment my plan off attack on these guys is: 1. Cut off top leg of melta guy and change angle so that knee is pulled up towards chest as well as re-angling his feet. 2. Think about some way to better glue on the Lightning Claw guy so it doesn't look like he is tripping. 3. Hair, I dunno, will have to think about that one, I thought I would probably get away with colouring etc, though looking at them now they are a bit more uniform then the wolves in my normal space wolf army. 4. GS on straps etc to hold the holstered weapons. 5. Get them painted and start on the Guardsmen in the army. Cheers again guys, As a side note has anyone ever seen a Navigator House Belisarius army done before? I really doubt that I have had a unique idea and would like to see pictures of someone elses interpretation. Belchuil
Ack, guy-hiding-behind-wall's left hand looks mighty wrong to me. I'd say switch it for a bolt pistol hand. Ditto stuff about hair.
