Lost Consuls

Origins:

The Chapter originaly named the Doom Consuls where a splinter chapter form the Ultramarines, orininaly formed during the Horus Heresy. The Chapter Master Malakai was also thier chief librarian. The Second, Fourth, Sixth, and Ninth companies Betrayed the Mentors fourth company and malakai slaughtered thier Master Commnder. Malakai Gathered the traitor companies and began to fight on his own unholy crusade. The second company, along with a samll force of grey knights banded together and destroyed the traitor companies. They proceeded to Kill the fifth company as they percieved the entire chapter to be corrupt, and when the rest of ther chapter saw thier position they fled and changed thier official name to the lost consuls. They fled and built thier fortress monostary on a deathworld with an atmosphere that corroded the paint on the armor, and discollered the skin to a brownish grey. They now fight in the name of the emperor but avoid all imperial armies at all costs.(a sort of p.s.) They belive that scouts are essential to the thier tacs and thier scout comany are trained exclusevly for thier roled and will never be upgraded to Space Marines.

 

Combat Dcctrine:

The Doom Consuls use guerrilla tactics to tacticaly annilate thier emnies and use the sombre traits for thier ground units (See but dont be seen, Cleanse and purify & Aspire to glory) But have utilized a retrievable drop pod and use drop pod tactics whenever possible and thus use a signifigant divergance (-Cleanse and Purify, Trust Your Battle Brothers, Aspire to Glory, Faithful Unto Death)

 

Geneseed:

Ultramarines

 

Color Scheme:

Thier original colors where red, black and blue accsents but with thier homeworlds corrosive atmsphere it is mow a corroded brwon red (I am using a modofied scheme form us wd 317)

 

that is my current DIY chapter. is there aything i need to add/take away to the fluff?

A few things:

 

Origins: The Second Founding took place after the HH, not during. Likewise, the Grey Knights were not founded till after the HH.

 

While there's a little bit of wiggle room for the second founding of the Ultramarines, you might want to reconsider. Making them an UM successor of a later founding wouldn't hurt.

 

The inter-chapter conflict you describe is pretty confusing and seems a little too much like a mini Horus Heresy, and you might want to think very carefully about killing off another chapter's Master, especially one so well known.

 

If they don't elevate scouts, how exactly to they replace their losses?

 

General: Ask yourself some more questions about why your chapter is the way it is. One writers tool is to ask "why" three times for any given idea. You'd be suprised where it takes you sometimes.

 

Example: Their chapter colors are now red-brown

Why? Because of the terrain and atmosphere on their new home world

Why? It's a primordial planet with a poison atmosphere and violent volcanic activity

Why? They chose it because they wanted to hide from the eyes of the Imperium

 

...and so on for each statement. You'll see that they'll begin to dovetail into one another, and its fun.

Okay, thanks for all of the helpful advice (im new at this)

 

lets say, that only the high honor scouts are gifted with power armor whenever a new batch of scouts are recruted.

 

Thier armor is this mottled red brown because of the atmosphere, but they feel atinted because of what thier chapter has done so refuse to re-paint thier armor untill they redeem themselves. even using the defective paint on the new scout armor.

 

I will say that this incedent happened after the horus heresy and is a succesor chapetr of the white consuls. I also menat that Malakai killed the master of the mentors company not the chapetr master and since have regained one.

 

How about that? ill re-type the bave post once i get everything straightened out.
