Chapter Name: Princes of the Blade

Gene-seed: Rogal Dorn

Backgrround: Telgan V. this planet is in a late rennassance era and is in constant war with barbarians to the north. the chapter recruits from the large amount of nobility on the planet. the nobles are almost constantly dueling with each other (pistol or sword) for honor, land, money, and power. as such BP and CCW are very popular in the chapter. but in the southern area of the planet hunting over the open grassland is a common sport, so southern nobles (though few) more often than not become devastators. they consider themselves to be of the purest blood and geneseed, and take pride in this, but at the same time they have become obssessed with it, and have a large amount of apothecaries, they see chapters like the ultramarines and the imperial fists to be admired and chapters like the space wolves and the blood angels to be pitied.dreadnoughts in the chapter are revered within the chapter and are not seen as entombed batte-brothers but ancient kings that wreak their vengeance on the low born, and they frequently consulted with their preference of close combat, thes scoff at tanks, and look at them with distast and as dihonorable low born war machine.

Colors:maroon and gold

Traits: Purity above all- reflects there view on bloodlines and purity of the geneseed

Heed the wisdom of the Ancients- their reverence of the dreadnoughts

Flesh over steel- they think tanks are dishonorable

Pride in their Colors- think skulking around is what commoners do

what do ya think, neutral criticism if welcomed

It's a good solid start, and I think you should expand on it to give it more depth. There are several things you can explain more in-depth, such as why they prefer the ultramarines and fists.

Just a thought: maybe it would be interesting if the chapter has a more egalitarian approach than the planets aristocrats, to add contrast?

Why have you not taken Take the Fight to Them, which would allow you to arm all your models with BP & Chainswords, which would seem to fit your chapters fluff.

I would drop the thing about the Southern Nobles, and state that some of the nobles do join Devastator squads, relying on marksmenship over combat-skill. Remember, when a recruit joins a Space Marine chapter, they are only 10-14 years old, so they might not be as noble as you want them to be.

I'm never a big fan of "We <3 Chapter A" and/or "We hate Chapter B", I always find this slightly cheap. I think it is better to bring up relationships between chapters over time and through battles, and only those chapters who have fought together will form opinions upon one another.
