DanTheAngry
They look pretty good for a beginer. Everthing is in the lines and cleanly painted. You just need to practise the dirty tricks of painting, Like using inks and washes. Keep at it man. NG-Griffin
They look better than anything I ever did when I first started - Way back in about '83. You now have to learn how to add a layer of high-lighting and shading and you'll be laughing. :P - Great work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89482-my-templar-command-squad/#findComment-1029187 Share on other sites
Hertz
a good start! you now know how to handle colour and brush! well done! more tips: next you shuld learn to mix you colour with water, and use several thinner more even layers instead of one or two thick layers of paint. also you should try to use a darker version of a colour in the deep parts of the miniature, like using red gore in the folds of their cloth, and using a lighter colour (try mixing some yellow to the red, and then use it on the raised areas of cloth. its easy, once you get the hang of it... always use a palette! its different with black and white, as they arent possible to get darker/ lighter, but try to shade white ( your ribbons) with a soft grey, and a small highlight on the black in form of a grey, for example! there are lots of professionals here, just ask them of you need more help with painting keep progressing, and you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89482-my-templar-command-squad/#findComment-1029191 Share on other sites

Penitent Dreadnought
Also, removing mold lines helps with the layering of paint on the models. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89482-my-templar-command-squad/#findComment-1029304 Share on other sites
