Dawn of the Dogs
alot of =][= popping up lately, so i figured id throw in my own as well. Inquisitor Devlin Perr'o of the Ordos Xenos. this particular mini went through a few different models before i finally stuck with the one i liked most. version I: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0520.jpg Nid hunter mode. i liked it back then, but then someone had remarked that, "so he can kill rippers, he's like the greatest hero in Imperial History..." this hit a bit close to home for me, so i decided to change him. version II: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0529.jpg still in a nid hunting theme here, changed the head for a cadian respirator head, and one of the shoulder pads. version III: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0559.jpg changed the position of the war scythe, and also painted the rod red. at this point, i started questioning the necessity for the marine backpack, it just didnt seem to fit right and seemed rather redundant. final version: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0610.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0612.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0613.jpg removed the rod from the warscythe, it was confusing people. some kids just cant get their heads around the concept of "counts as"... changed the shoulder pads to something a little more imperial, i quite like how they turned out. removed the backpack and gave him a replacement. loads of knick knacks, and an autogun, perfect for an inquisitor. so, penny for your thoughts? Penitent Dreadnought
I'm glad you changed it from the first one. Looked a bit on the 'radical' side, or maybe too much like a mutation... The final product is much better. alot of =][= popping up lately Nah, that's just a slew of new people making useless posts the Mods have to melta. It's part of a normal cycle around here... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89495-inquisitor/#findComment-1029309 Share on other sites
razielthegreat
the first draft did look a lil' mutated (and we all know how the inquisition feel about that!) i liked the last model. very orginal i thought. would love to see some pics when you get finished painting. P.S:any ideas on what you might use for a retinue? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89495-inquisitor/#findComment-1029312 Share on other sites

P.S:any ideas on what you might use for a retinue? ahahaha... i don't get things painted ;) for me, its one conversion project after another, there is no time to get things painted. as for the retinue, the current setup im planning on is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0498.jpg warrior with hellgun http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0531.jpg warrior with shotgun http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0496.jpg plasma cannon servitor http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/ddog2/RIMG0439.jpg acolyte and ive got some modified tau drones as sages coming up soon. Penitent Dreadnought
The shotgun veteran and acolyte are incredibly good. Do you get any of these things painted? At all? Or do you have a friend who drools over the opportunity? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89495-inquisitor/#findComment-1029335 Share on other sites

Or do you have a friend who drools over the opportunity? in the 12 years ive spent in the hobby, i have only one painted army, and most of it was painted already when i bought it. my sister however, isnt really into the gaming aspect of the hobby, and does enjoy painting, so i usually dump all my mini's on her table when i need stuff painted ;) but she has to work alot of the time now, so i dont get much painted at all now. me? i love gaming and converting! Ravenwing Phil
I am likeing the Inquisitor a lot, very original and gives a good impresion of using technology not available to most worriors of the imperium. I would love to see him painted when your sister gets him done :P . Also i have to say the woriors are very cool, I am likeing facemask on the hellgun warrior a lot. With just a little bit of GS you could make it really good, i just think you need some pipes and stuff. Good work and keep it up! Love the furry warrior as Aquila has noticed, the hellgun warrior isnt human (sharp eye there Aquila), so the mask isnt really there to assist in breathing, but actually to just hide his face. cant be seen openly employing xenos now can i? :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89495-inquisitor/#findComment-1029491 Share on other sites

magnum_opera
The Necron staff thing is just too different to work with the military retinue, same with the Tyranid bits. Drop them both, as neither really complements the look of the Inquistor. Find a smaller bolt pistol, that thing is way too big. A ornate chainsword would make a really nice alternative, or just some kind of nice sword thing. I love what you've done with the Warriors and Acolytes, but the Gun Servitor has a few too many Tau bits on it. Come on, the Ordo Xenos only use alien weapons when faced with no alternative. :P Really though, great work so far. But that Gun Servitor is way too Tau. Black Daemon Templar
Wow the new one looks so much better than all the other versions! I'm not to keen on the scope for the BP, even though it's original. But that Gun Servitor is way too Tau. the orignal concept was to make him look as xenos influenced as possible while still retaining the resemblance to the inquisition, and as a radical, ill use what i like when i like -_- the tyranid bits have been dropped already, the finalized version has no nid' parts on him at all. the "warscythe" has also been modified to look less like a warscythe and more like a glaive. Mohenjo Daro
brilliant stuff! love to see those radical ]['s  to bad you left the green transparent necron rod out. otherwise everythings really neat and nice. like esecially the tau bitz on theh ellgun and of course the plasma canon "servitor" although i admit, that i expected a normalservitor with a tau plasmagut from a combat suit. i definiately need to think about adding some stuff on my vakyrie. but from which xeno to take it? i'll have to order bits anway i think.
