converting abaddon

Recommended Posts

hi i recently stumbled upon a box of new termies and was considering converting them all to the forces of chaos, when i remebered, wait i field abaddon, maybe i should convert him... so i am about to embark on this conversion and it hit me, i have no good pose for him. i have the index astartes 4 and obviously the chaos codex, but was wondering if there are any more pictures of the warmaster, before i start the modeling. then i was going to ask for a vote for which would be the most intimidating pose and model it from there.

i will still be using the lighting claw, head, and sword from the orginal model.

thanks for the help in advanced

i'd try for a different head, there are lots of ecellent plastic heads roaming the kits these days, marine and chaos bare heads (khorne berzerker head or some from the new command squad/captain set spring to mind.

the original head (well the one as we know it) wasn't supposed to be.. it only ended up thatway cos some nerk dropped the original resin master and broke it (official word from GW dudes when i was at Conflict Scotland cos i asked about a new abaddon fig.) but if you feel handy with GS then make a good head using a bare plastic and gs.

but its your model your choice.

I hope it turns out a goodie!

You can always bulk him up with some quick conversion work. This is an old Black Legion Sorceror I did in Terminator armor named Sanamar but the conversion (Archeon's body and Sauron's arm) would work just as well for Abaddon:
