mr_lee_
Greetings, I was wondering iof you could all help me out with a little problem I'm having. I want to get an effect on marines that looks similar to the way the flesh drapes over Necron Flayed Ones. I've tried to find a way of creating the effect but had no luck. Heres a pic to help; http://mishilo.image.pbase.com/u16/dannec/...31.Flayed_b.jpg http://www.games-workshop.de/warhammer4000...flayed_ones.jpg If anyone knows how to create this effect, it would be a great help! Thanks in advance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89835-flayed-skin-on-marines/ Share on other sites
The Angelus Sanctus
I would recommend very thin bits of GS that have been 'loosely' shaped into irregular patterns and then laid over marine armor. Once its cured for a bit, you can smooth out the GS to remove any unwanted fingerprints and with a toothpick, perhaps make some very minor folds and contours in the skin, or even try to shape the GS a bit more to resemble where the skin was 'flayed' from. You can also try making small gabs to simulate flayed skin off a face. Some of the EC componenents have some nice effects of flayed skin over armor. Commissar K.
Greenstuff indeed would be the best option, altough there are some helpfull shoulderpads aswell: http://fr.games-workshop.com/boutique/onli...?page=3&size=10 And offcourse a chopped up Lucius also might help :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89835-flayed-skin-on-marines/#findComment-1033545 Share on other sites

Grey Knight
you could perhaps stretch the GS real thin and then drap it over the area you ant and glue it on after you know where you want it, and with the green stuff so thin you could easilly cut eye and mouth holes into it. I just hope your not doing loyalist, cause if you are they're one sick load of mother :P 's Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89835-flayed-skin-on-marines/#findComment-1033657 Share on other sites

mr_lee_
The flayed skin is going to combined with some of the actual Flayed One parts. Its part of my fluff. I'm going to use them as possessed with Daemonic Talons once they're done :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/89835-flayed-skin-on-marines/#findComment-1033689 Share on other sites
