Vehicle Interior

Recommended Posts

you never see the inside anyways so i dont bother, the only part that moves is the back door and you need magnets to keep the thing shut, too much work unless you are going all out on your army, or going for display

im going for paintjobs, i dont care about working parts, and i dont care to spend an extra unnecsary amount of time painting the inside that you can barely even see

Starks

I'll probably undercoat the inside with black paint, which will subdue my madness.

on the next one you do ... put some effort on the inside and make all the hatches with 'hings' ...

drill and use wire to make them able to open ...

always nice to be able to show what you have done inside ...

brings more pleasure to the model while making it if not for anything else =)

Well, the exterior of my Rhino is...well its as spiky as you can get for a chaos Rhino I think. My cam is REALLY bad though, I'd take a pic but it'd come out really bad.

I've used nearly all available spiky bits, and bits from the CSM command sprue, and while the inside will be dull, the outside should be ace.

I'm thinking my land raider will be my coup d'etats in terms of vehicles.

My rhino will be just as good without the inside painted I think ;)

I painted my Rhino's interior, but it was an afterthought, as I had glued the thing togther already and wished I had painted parts beforehand, it would have made things sooooooomuch easier.

I've just bought a Landraider, and was re-reading an old White Dwarf, back from when the 'new Raider' was released and there's a whole article on what parts to paint beforehand, whcih is spot on!!!!

Will make building and pinting mine loads easier.

So in answer to your question, yes I paint, and plan to paint all vehicle interiors.

Why not, after all, they took the time to sculpt the details there for us.

The torture chamber was definately around here... Use your Search-Fu if you want to see it.

Until now, I've painted the interior. I might not do it, if I get a tank not supposed to be opened (preds, whirlies and vindies) but I think it's "wrong" if there's nothing inside a tank, even if the Marines never actually get there.

I tried an experimental point-source lighting effect inside my LRC: that way, if it went badly wrong, I could always glue the hatch shut.. :tu: Tried to get a big glowing green plasma tube effect on the pipes at the back..

...try out techniques and as Jazz said if its looks rubbish you just glue it shut

Been there. Done that. Now I'm all for the bits :P .

Fair enough, i am yet to try but give it a few tanks in and i will probably be of the same thinking :tu:

Remember, son, if at first you don't succeed, give up! :tu:
