WIP Dread - first attempt at extreme highlights

Recommended Posts

Normally I use a blending style to go form my shadows to my highlights, but looking at my dread with all thise nice sharp lines, I decided to try some more extreme highlighting for a change. I had tried on and off in the past, but nothing really solid. I'm thinking I like how this is turning out and might have to rethink how I paint the rest of the army.

So far I only have the arms done, but what do you think?

Here are some otehr shots using a "blue" filter on my camera, helps the colors a bit

Ignoring the bits that havent been painted :D The Dread looks great, well done ;). I think the extreme highlighting does it justice for sure. Sure its 'extreme' but i think it pays off very well.

Keep up the great work

Well finished him off

Fully magnarized, both arms, the waist and the feet to the base. Able to break him down for easy trasnport.
