Hellfury
Well I finished a squad of five scout snipers. I do not like the jay leno heads they provide with the kit, so I added wood elf hooded heads to it for a more stealthy feel. I used this as inspiration... http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e69/colo.../0102da41gc.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e69/colorcrayons/S4010025.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e69/colorcrayons/S4010010.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e69/colorcrayons/S4010015.jpg Whaddya think of it? Grimdarkness
Very cool do you have a close up of the faces? They look perfect as is but do they look like elves up close. Cool idea. Hellfury
My camera is bad at extreme macro range so no, no close ups of the face. Sorry I tried. But if this helps at all they do have fine features, but then again, they actually look like they are in scale. They lack the hugeness of exageration of the normal space marine heads. This is a good thing really. No more Leno jaws. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90038-hooded-scout-snipers/#findComment-1035655 Share on other sites

Col.M.Veers
Do the wood elf heads go on perfectly or does there need to be GS and cutting and the like, THEY LOOK SWEET and i might steal them if i may? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90038-hooded-scout-snipers/#findComment-1035962 Share on other sites
Angelos
Nice idea, I might incorporate somethiong like this into my scouts which are still sitting in their box  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90038-hooded-scout-snipers/#findComment-1035998 Share on other sites
Hellfury
Do the wood elf heads go on perfectly or does there need to be GS and cutting and the like, THEY LOOK SWEET and i might steal them if i may? :D There is a slight gap in the neck which needs a very very small amount og GS to fill. No sculpting is really required as you cannot see the neck. Its mainly there to hold the heads on the torsoe better. Shinohai
mexican luchador masks? i've never seen any that used ninja style masks. cool conversion. i dunno why the original heads all look like jay leno, and all the faces do look the same. TheHalifax
Those look really cool, isnt there a leaf or something covering the right side of the wood elf heads/faces? Consider that idea stolen! :D Marines looking the same is due to fluff. Havock
somewhat correct, they are not all copies of each other, tigurius and calgar look quite different. And they most definately wouldn't look as retarded as the plastic marine scouts. Quannum
lol......jay leno. and here's me thinking they looked like kurt russell. Q  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90038-hooded-scout-snipers/#findComment-1036196 Share on other sites
TheHalifax
I think its meant to be the gene seed, it changes the marines physiology so they all begin to look like their primarch, it doesnt affect some marines as much as others though. The new marines look like their faces have been botoxed, and why isnt their any texture on the hair? I really like those hoods  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90038-hooded-scout-snipers/#findComment-1036197 Share on other sites

Hellfury
I hear that plagerism is the most sincerest form of flattery. :) Thanks guys. The heads are plastic wood elf heads. Hellfury
Sorry dude, dont be too flattered. I made some with the normal plastic scouts back when I first saw that DA concept art. well over a month ago. But it doenst matter who came up with the idea, it is simply a matter of time before everyone replaces the heads on those scouts with anything more reasonable that what is supplied with them.
