Tsydious
I wanted an idea for a chapter that is like the Imperial Fists, just different in a few senses (you know, Siege Masters, Loyalty, Honesty, etc. etc. those traits and stuff). Oh and a question for the people who know: can i give my chapter the Siege Masters special rule as indicated in the Index Astartes for Imperial Fists? And have similar ties to the Inquision like B&C or Deathwatch? Oh and i want the name to incorporate some form of lightning/thunder/electrical storm. The Chapter's homeworld is a lightning storm world. Feel free to criticize in any way you like. Deadlight
Just to prove you wrong i'll add a post The index list is no longer valid. You have to use the new codex list. - for tournaments and most games. The Imp Fists have a new set of traits. as far as wanting a different chapter, whats wrong with the imp fists. If its the colour scheme (i hate the colour yellow by the way) and so wouldnt take them either, but there is an alternative, i saw ages ago when the landraider first came out in the White Dwarf, that their was a night fighting cammo scheme on it. It was mostly black and only the background of the chapter symbol was yellow. maybe this is a possibility for you? If not use the traits system to make your own chapter. Tsydious
Well the colour scheme is mainly the issue, and so is the name. So far Planet Crushers (since i want them to be a siege based army, like iron warriors and Imperial fists) is the best i can come up with, but i need a better name. My current colour scheme is either a cop-off of the Black Templars, or its starting to look like Legio B&C. Oh and i hate yellow schemes too. Ferrata
Well, if you really want to go the Siege theme, you could always use the Iron Warrior's rules. Then you have excess to a number of veteran skills to help and the Basalisk. Just make sure you don't select anything too chaosy or if you do, make sure you have a good count as for it. Lord Painkiller
How about the name "Fulminare Obsidionis", which is Latin for roughly "Lightning Seige." The "Obsidionis" would also work with your black armour, being that Obsidion is also a black volcanic glass. German names often work aswell, how about "Blitzkrieger", which is "Lightning Warriors." "Lightning Warriors" itself, of course, also sounds pretty ace. Ultimately, it's up to you. Tsydious
Well, the word "lightning" may give the impression to some people that this is a strike force like the White Scars, or the Raven Guard. Lightning Seige was ok, but I dont like the idea of people thinking it's a force with Dev marines with Jump Packs. :P Thunder might be a better word for this though. Another old idea i had was this was a Rogal Dorn gene-seed chapter, and was named the Fists of Vengeance, but i'm not sure if i wanna keep going by that. It sound awful lot like a mix between Dark Angels and Imperial Fists. Severus6
Siege Lords Wall Crushers Shield Breakers Another name, though older and used by GW, would fit the bill here I think. The Stone Hearts,...there is small bit of background on these guys but nothing that would stop you from tailoring them to your needs. I dont know, there just seems to be a connection. Just a thought, hope it helps. Severus6 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90047-diy-chapter/#findComment-1039403 Share on other sites

Tsydious
ok i think i got my colour scheme down. Just to make sure no one has already used it, its black with deep blue pads, and metal trim. Elbow Pads and if possible, kneepads (if not paint area where kneepad should be) are reddish brown, or just light brown. Bolters all metal.
