Brother Lysander
I give you Brother Isiah of the Dark Angels 5th Company: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i149/Chaplain_Uzziel/DAside.jpg As the subject title suggests, this is the first mini I have painted for probably around 3 years. I've used it as a test mini, took it slowly (3 days slowly, on and off, lol), and I attempted black-lining and highlighting for the very first times. Few more bits to do (need sunlight, my eyes hurt!), then I can crack on with the rest of the squad. Now I just have to learn how to paint a bit quicker. Comments very welcome. Shinobi_soldier
Looks good, esp. since you havent painted any mini's in that long. maybee you could post some more angled pictures... and to get the rest of the squad painted i would reccomend that you save time by painting all of the models basecoats, then do all of the second step for the whole squad. this not only saves time, but also ensures that any mixed coulour turn out the same shade. looks good
Veht
http://www.infinitychamber.com/images/veht-tiny.gif A h, Dark Angels, an excellent choice. The highlight you have picked is very nice, it matches the other greens well. I like the base too.
Guest mentors
looks good, for the plasma gun it'll look better if you take the highlights all the way up to white. :D

Brother Lysander
Thank you all for the comments. Taking my time helped, hopefully can maintain the standard when painting a whole squad. As for the plasma gun, I was going to try white highlights, but then I gave it a blue glaze, and was happy with how it looked (doesn't seem to show up in the picture). May try it on a plasma cannon though, cheers Mentors. Shinobi: I only have a camera phone, and that picture was the best of a bad bunch I'm afraid, Will take more if there is several requests though...will just see me pulling my hair out and shouting at the phone, thats all ^_^ BL
Grand Master Belial
Brother Isiah would be proud. Very nicely done. :P
Brother Nihm
Looks sweet. I was going to suggest the same as Mentors but then I saw your reply. Now I urge you to reconsider, as that last highlight of white won't take more than 5 mins to perform and it will really give the gun a nice 'oomph'! :P
Angelos
For first time highlighting I give you a score of...... :P :( ;)  5 ninja heads out of 5!
Brother Lysander
5 ninja heads out of 5...I'm honoured...I think  . The plasma gun is being experimented with today....or I may just get on with the rest of the squad. Cheers for the replies folks, good motivation for me.
