UPDATE

Hail brothers,

have today painted the DE captives and finaly decided to go for a Dark Red / Bone colour scheme.

I kind of like the idea of a "Tyranid camouflaged" Dark Eldar. Fluff wise these may be some sort of a kult, which is experimenting on a symbiosis with the Tyranids and has implemented a matching colour scheme as the hive fleet Kraken... who knows wha tare the DE up to... :P

Tell me what you think.... ;)

Lookin fantastic there Zgar. The color scheme for the DE came out very well and adds a bit of color to the rhino for sure (black is good, but it can get a bit plain after a while :P).

Keep up the great work ;)

Is anyone else freaked out by that last pic with the DE leering right at the camera you know in that "if I get out of here I'm going fiddle with your innards" look?

Great and thanks! It actually was the aim to model the DE male in a arrogant/angry way! The female is made to be frustrated/tyred. Seems like it was done quite OK... :o

Re "plume on helmet" - all those DE plumes are made in a straight way, sort of blowing in the wind style... does not fit much into a Rhino interior and to the pose of the head. Plus it won't fit anymore into the inside - the model would be too high. I could have modelled something out of GS though, but I sort of liked the looks of the "bare helmet"...

Thanks to all you guys for your nice comments! Good to know you like it! :D

Cheers!

Heh, the general idea of physics must have been absent when i suggested the plume. With that now in mind, you can probably get away without having one on the female DE (it isnt necessary in any case).
might i inquire how you do blk?

Well I am not too fond abt the highlights myself, as they are still quite messy, but in real light / table top it ain't that visible and does not look all bad...

Since I was also uncertain abt black, I have asked the more experienced ones and got good hints in this thread - linky.

My only extra abt black is that even after priming with a black spray, I undercoat the mini with regular black, but use black ink instead of water for thinning it down - this way the colour is more rich (if black can be richer at all...) plus it sort of gives a more glancy/satin looks. May not be wanted for all models though.

Hope this helps.

@Azazal & Oblit - Thanks for compliments!
