Gidion
Orgins The Iron Patriarchs are a Space Marine chapter founded during the 9th founding. They have been mentioned in Imperial Tombes of being visious masters of war. The Iron Patriarchs come from a planet known as Isis V. Home World The planet Isis V is a Forge World that constantly churns out over a land of frozen mountain ranges, interspersed with volcanos. the landspace is under constant flux, the shifting of tectonic plates forming new mountains. The people of Isis are norse warriors fighting in warbands even at young ages and as sutch the Iron Patriachs will recruit children that are the strongest at will. Combat Doctrine The Iron Patriachs like there founders use bionic augmentations to replace physical injuries. They also prefer to shoot rather than fight in close quarters. Though they are still able to fight off xenos scum in combat after all they are the emperors finest. Campagins The iron Patriarchs have fought many campagins but out of them all the most well known is the capture of a planet called Encounteran were they battled against the Tau under Shas'o Vashov. They took the planet in just over 10 weeks. 'The Encounteran Force' was lead by the Captain Gidion. Organisation The chapter has 10 Battle companys. These companys all have 3 Dreadnoughts, 1 Terminator Squad, 1 Assault Squad, 1 Scout Squad, 1 Devastator Squad and 5 Tactical Squads. Eatch company is lead by a Captain. The Iron Patriarchs don't have any Chaplains so the Captains take over the Religious fate of the space marines aswell. Colour Scheme and Insignia The Iron Patriarchs use a silver and red colour scheme and there chapter badge is a Maltese Cross Gene-Seed The Iron Patriarchs use the Iron Hands gene-seed. Cpt_Tiberius
It looks like you have a good start here. You mainly need to just flesh out the different sections as they are a bit short. Here are some questions I think you need to answer: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90319-index-astartes-iron-patriarchs/#findComment-1039105 Share on other sites

Commissar Molotov
Firstly, be patient! Take into account that the Liber isn't the busiest forum. It takes time to scrutinise long posts, to get a feel for your post and then conjure up a decent reply that'll do you justice. I'm unsure about Isis V being a Forgeworld. You need to consider that the Adeptus Mechanicus control forgeworlds, and would likely resent having a space marine chapter swanning around and just taking what they need. It's also probably not the best place for recruits. You mention that the Iron Patriarchs use bionics to replace injuries, 'like their founders'. The thing to remember is that the Iron Hands also voluntarily replace healthy flesh with bionics. The 'weakness of the flesh' is a cornerstone of the Iron Hand tenets of belief. While you've detailed how the Patriarchs deviated from the codex, you've not really said why. It'll make your chapter seem more rounded and more logical if you simply give a reason for why these changes have happened. You've got a lot of the groundwork covered, which is great - you've already gotten further than most ideas manage. Just put a little more work in and you'll have something to be proud of. Just try to expand upon your ideas and I think you'll have a characterful army. Edit: You make no mention as to whether the Iron Hands have made any contact with their successor. It's mentioned in their IA article that the Iron Hands are quite isolationist - they don't trust any of the other chapters as being 'strong enough' to defend the Imperium. That seemingly extends to their own sons. Has that hurt the Patriarchs at all? Being shunned, cast out by their fathers?
