Heimdal
Bought some models from another person a time ago, including this Rhino. My first thought was to strip it and turn it into a Vindicator but after a small mishap where I left the models in the brake fluid for too long that wasnt an option anymore. They became way too brittle. So I decided to make the best out of it. I made a wrecked Rhino. Very straightforward work, it was already assembled so I just cut it to the proper dimensions and so on. I play Space Wolves so the choice of colour to paint a wrecked Rhino is very obvious. Dark Angels :) WIP http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/Mad...ino004Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/Mad...ino003Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/Mad...ino002Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/Mad...ino005Small.jpg

Hertz
grrrr.... painting it in Dark Angels colours.... good way to use cheaply bought second hand wares.. elakt
Primarch16
I would take a sledgehammer to it, then I would call it wrecked .
NoxI
Looks like a good start. However, there are no clues as to why the rhino is leaning that way. Maybe the left side got blown off, or something of the sort, but the point is that I think it needs to be much more heavily damaged.

So far it looks like an APC that has been bailed out in a hurry. Why? The drivers are dead and the crew stuck in no man's land (fire Magnet) an engine fire do to a strike a mine blew the left track and roads wheels of. With the proper paint and weathering this should look great. Good Luck
Master Chaplain Astador
Looks good! I am going to paint mine tonight I think! I really want to paint it now! lol, maybe place a few of my IG on it or something, idk yet. But yeah, it looks good, now get it painted!
Brother Gothard
I play Space Wolves so the choice of colour to paint a wrecked Rhino is very obvious. Dark Angels Really? I would have thought the obvious choice was Thousand Sons! How often do Dark Angels and Space Wolves actually meet on the fields of battle as enemies? I'm going to go with NEVER. Back on topic, I agree with most of the other posters: this thing needs more damage! Use a lighter on one side and melt the sucker straight through! Meltaguns are a real pain for APCs, you know. Darrell
How often do Dark Angels and Space Wolves actually meet on the fields of battle as enemies? Dark Angels never make it to the battlefields at all because their Rhinos keep blowing up. Heimdal is just pointing out a little-known fact. Heimdal
The thought with the Dark Angel paint scheme is that the Space Wolves has arrived to a battlefield that the DA had to abandon their vehicle due to that they couldnt take the heat  Which reminds me that I will add some more damage to it. Thanks for the replies so far :D
madscuzzy
Looks great. Adding smaller stones/sand would help with the scale. At current, the large stones, in comparison would be large stones, about half the size of a marines foot. This can throw off the scale...
Heimdal
Finished! In case someone wonders the name of the Rhino is "Belial" :D I`ll let the pictures talk for themselves ;) http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2/peterholmqvist/Scenery/WreckedRhino008Small.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2/peterholmqvist/Scenery/WreckedRhino010Small.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2/peterholmqvist/Scenery/WreckedRhino009Small.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2/peterholmqvist/Scenery/WreckedRhino011Small.jpg

Scar Weaver
These DAs were probably enroute to renforce the Sons of Pus...I mean Russ. But anyway, this looks like a really good piece of scenery. Good job, I love it.
Obliterator
Very nice! Needs more rust though. Then again, I'm a bit crazy about rust :P ...
Captain Hat
I'd say it could to with more damage evident around the front of the vehicle, thr front left corner specifically, and maybe the paint job should have more scarring evident, but it is generally pretty good. The Angelus Sanctus
Great work there Heimdal  I was curious, how did you manage to make the distorted effect on the hull? Looks like something VERY hot came in contact with the tank.

Heimdal
Brother Gothard suggested using a lighter so I did just that
patsy02
Looks very nice, but I don't get it... it looks perfectly good to me  Anyway, you should add a few marine corpses here and there.. maybe one outside and one on the inside? Also, it doesn't look very wrecked, except for from one side, it just looks like it got stuck in the mud(rubble). Add more damage, chuncks blown off, etc. A fun idea could be to add one big hole on each side, as if a lascannon or gauss cannon just went right through it.
