chaos conversion...

Recommended Posts

hey all, im still new here but i have an idea. while cruising through a website that shall not be named, i found this miniature-

the model

now heres the thing. ive never liked the standard chaos bike models (to clunky, and not detailed enough) so i was thinking of using these models for biker conversions in my finally decided army, the Kaskyrn Raiders. the thing is, ive never even seen models from that range in person (especially that particular model), so can someone give me the lowdown on its size? will it be large enough/small enough to mount a chaos marine model onto, and will it fit on a standard GW large round base or will i have to take something sharp to my last bits of plasticard? thanks in advance, all replies are appreciated.

Ah rackham - cut it up and I'll find you and kill you.

definitely the best sculpting on the planet (blatant plug)

I'd say that's one of the large base bozos - so think similar to the width of the base of a greater daemon probably.

It could work for an exalted champion on a juggernaut of khorne - ie one that breaks out of it's armour and bindings perhaps?

EDIT: it's at least chaos spawn size.

Well I see a lot of model of this range and they are all different :P well I've put the same questions some hour ago ( ) but with another model of this range, comparing price and base I think that also this model is big enough to be used like a bike... anyway I think that if you say Rackham no one will kill you ^__^ eheheh but don't try to use this model in a golden demon ;)

thanks guys...i just wasnt totally confident about the rules  but i think ill buy one, and see how it works out. more questions; how do you think i should represent the twin bolters? and what color would look better for the skin of that thing, black, or greenish blue. my army is a csm raiding force that draws marines from all different legions. its scheme is black and greenish blue with exposed arms and heads on some models, and scavanged armor on others.

I collect rackham? did you get an answer to your question?

well i got positive reinforcement :P but a flat out answer to my question would be great. also, if youve got anything to say on my other questions, thatd be much appreciated ;)

hmm, why not just go for xenomounts?

personally I think they're a bit big for bikers to be honest - an Aspiring champion, lord or lieutenant should work alright, but for a biker squad it might be a bit much.

if you're gonna model bolters on them - maybe on a saddle or something - you'll never get a marine's legs to look right any other way in my opinion.

just a few thoughts...
