Itac
i have recently discovered the truly amazing effect of paint grey knights in golden armour and it is so easy you cant fail. Black primer basecoat with Brazen Brass Shining gold, leave allmost no Brass. wash with either chestnut ink or flesh wash high light with shining gold High light with burnished gold and if you want to, you can high light it again with 50/50 mithril silver and burnished gold. Gold Armour Itac? this you must show! For GK's you could paint them metal, or you could paint them grey. Start with an undercoat of chaos black spray Give a basecoat of codex grey (or if you want a slightly more mystical swish to them use shadow grey) work up your highlights till your satisfied (usually using a ratio* of 3:1, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 and then just the final highlight on its own) then add details - weapons eyes etc. as desired *the ratios are defined as being basecoat to highlight i.e 3:1 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/90793-how-to-paint-gk/#findComment-1044629 Share on other sites
