Khrangar
I have finally finished my terminator squad, all except for the bases, which will be done in september when I get back to my basing materials, and the sergeant's shoulder pads. Here is the last of 5 terminators http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/Khrangar/terminator1.jpg Other terminators http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/Khrangar/Project%20Log%20Pics/termy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/Khrangar/Project%20Log%20Pics/termy2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/Khrangar/Project%20Log%20Pics/termy3.jpg Here is the full squad http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/Khrangar/terminator2.jpg It's taken me 6 months very off and on, more on in the past couple months since I've had more time. Now on to another tactical squad. Khrangar Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/ Share on other sites
ixupi
Beautiful. Really nice looking, only suggestion I have is too mayber add one lighter layer to the edges of the chest wings to help it stand out more. Other than that, simply stunning. MithrilForge
 Good stuff, im never brave enough to try a split scheme...Straight lines :P one quirk though,i think the L/Claws may look better with actual boltgun/mithril colors the purple sorta blends in too much(although it could just be the pics) well done anyway, its great to see finished squads...now base em ! mithril Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047087 Share on other sites
SCC
Ah, I do love a split scheme :P Some of the shading for the blue looks a little rushed to me. Are you inking and if so are you diluting your ink at all? I always foundwhen black-lining (or any sort of ink-lining) that 2 or 3 diluted linings produced a neater, smoother result than one heavier one. Other than that, keep splitting schemes B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047173 Share on other sites
RADU LYKAN
I kind've agree about using metallics for the claws, then run some purple ink over the top, gives the blades a "powered" look Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047247 Share on other sites
Khrangar
I really don't like metallic claws, too over-used or something, so I think I'll stay with the purple ones. Most people either like it or they don't. I dilute the ink a fair bit, but maybe I'll do it some more. It's only really the first picture that the colours look rushed, to me anyway, and that's because they kinda are. I was in a bit of a hurry to get this guy finished because I meant to have him done last thursday but didn't get a chance. I don't really have a time restraint on the rest of the army so everything should look a lot smoother from now on, I hope. Santoro
lovely, utterly lovely, and i Do for one like the purple claws, maybe a darker shade on the bottom of the claws? ..and is it just me or are there no chapter marks on them? 5 of 5 thumbs up anyways. - Santoro Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047349 Share on other sites
ursidae
Excellent work with the split color scheme. It's great to see someone actually able to finish a whole termie assault squad  I do like the idea of lightening the shade of purple on the lower half of the LC's to give the impression of a sharp edge. I also like the job you did on the Serg's face. Keep up the good work and make sure you post the rest of your army as you do it. ironloki
I agree with SCC - more split schemes. Simply a pleasure to look at. I remember the first time I seen a split scheme at some model convention. Simply lovely  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047379 Share on other sites
Commander Biguss Brutus
very nicely done, well executed and they will definately stand out on the battlefield. I have to say, very good call on using the purple, it gives them something extra I think. Angelos
Very cool looking, I think you need one more highlight one all the chest eagles/shield eagles, than a few lighter highlights on the purple LCs, thna they are fini! IGInquisitor
looking absolutely stunning! although it may just be my eyes deceiving me, i think u missed some blyue onde the small abdomen area between the chest plate and belt on the top marine. of course it may just be the angle the pic was taken at as well  good job! -Chip Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91091-sons-of-guilliman-terminators/#findComment-1047578 Share on other sites

Khrangar
..and is it just me or are there no chapter marks on them? 5 of 5 thumbs up anyways. - Santoro I plan to add the chapter markings after I have completed the entire army, that way I can do it all at once and get it looking consistant with one another. looking absolutely stunning! although it may just be my eyes deceiving me, i think u missed some blyue onde the small abdomen area between the chest plate and belt on the top marine. of course it may just be the angle the pic was taken at as well  good job! -Chip The blue is actually there but the way the model is turned causes the white to have a larger area than the blue. Thanks all for the comments, and I hope to have pictures for my first 6 man tactical squad up shortly. I need to paint their guns and backpacks and then they are finished.
