Brother Magnus
hey all http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/chaplainmortis/14.jpg Im not sure if its because of the angle of the pic, but the torso looks a bit wider than the waist. Still, The model looks pretty darn sweet :P Lookin' forward to seeing it finished Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049543 Share on other sites
Monkey Garage
Looks awesome. It flows nicely except for the axe/axe arm. I'd like to see it over his head, as if he is urging on his followers, or held behind him with a slight bend at his elbow. RIght now it looks very awkward. TheHalifax
I really like it, it's similar to something I started a while back and never completed LOL :P Yours is definatley better :), I think the torso being wider than the waist makes sense as the torso is armoured and the waist isn't, I do think that the axe arm should be moved though, maybe have it out in front with the blade flat and pointing to the left of him, like he's directing troops or challenging an opponent. Very good work though :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049571 Share on other sites
dishchi
great job! reminded me of a IW conversion I made previously... here it is http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/dishchi/Warhammer%2040k/Other/2.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a247/dishchi/Warhammer%2040k/Other/1.jpg what parts did you use? Brother Gothard
That reminds me of the Nurgle centaur Chosen I'm currently working on. Maybe you saw my post, maybe you didn't - I wont link it here. Anyway, yes, I agree with Magnus: the waist looks way too big for the hips. I'm finding that I'm having the same problem. Luckily, I'm using skeletal horses that come in two parts, so if I want to, I can just assemble them with a gap. But your problem isn't so easily fixed. Hmm, have you thought about adding some pouches or chains? Severed heads? I recommend giving him some sort of trophy pouch, ala Predator, to bulk out the metal body as it joins the plastic part. Just my thoughts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049639 Share on other sites
Primarch16
Wow, he looks pretty badass. My only critisism is the icon on his backpack, it looks far to large to be balanced that high, maybe lower it or lose it. Grey Knight
he look sweet, i can see only 2 minor things, the chain axe arm looks a bit unwieldly, and the torso in one picture looks a wee bit larger than the centaur it's attatched to, but painting always helps these things out, looking great :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049644 Share on other sites
Khrangar
As the name is quite similar to my own, I feel the need to post a reply. I would have to agree with the repositioning of the axe arm. Also, the shaft of the axe and banner pole seem rather small in comparison to the handle and the banner top. I'm sure that it's just because you used paperclips or something similar though. Nice job overall. Khrangar Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049645 Share on other sites
Gyson_Vore
I would recomend losing the Khorne symbol from the torso, as word bearers do not worship any one directly, but many at once. It just makes it seem the like khorne a wee bit better. Also, I like the powerfist with the space marine head on it, where did you get it from? AkiraCho
from the legs im guessing he has demonic speed? as to make him faster? hes.. too fast.. and too furious? HAHA sorry couldnt resist, i like the use of the powerfist arm Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91276-khanaggar-the-furiousdoom-of-heroes/#findComment-1049674 Share on other sites
khornedog
it looks awesome except for the axe arm hand positioning. even if yo urotated the hand so he was holdign the axe out in fornt of him it would look WAY better. p.s. go khorne go! TheHalifax
@ Gyson_Vore, he said world eaters not word bearers ^_^ And i think that powerfist is from the newer chaos lord in power armour. Also why is the torso being wider than the waist a problem for people? It makes sense as from the waist down the model isnt armoured so the armoured torso would be bigger wouldnt it? Luther - the fallen
I would recomend losing the Khorne symbol from the torso, as word bearers do not worship any one directly, but many at once. It just makes it seem the like khorne a wee bit better. Also, I like the powerfist with the space marine head on it, where did you get it from? I believe it's a World Eaters Lord, meaning he follows Khorne.. hence the Khorne symbols.. Ohh.. BTW nice model... love it.. Gyson_Vore
Oh, my bad... I guess I need to read it twice or more... It's a great model, only the axe lookes a wee bit off. magnum_opera
Love it, love it, love it. However, I'd take out the massive banner pole icon - the thing dwarfs your Lord. Looks way too goofy. NurgleThing
I'm not sure if its the angle but you might want to fill the gap in the fleshhound body on the back. flyinghippo
Not sure about your GS skills but what about adding a daemonic pole sort of thing over top of tubing bits on the banner and axe. Maybe with some faces sculpted in too :P .
