Domani
Right so I've tried SW and thats not looking to good for me, so I was thinking of using my own chapter. I was thinking of the colour scheme for the "Revilers" and using the trait "Trust you battle-brothers" drawback for that is "We stand alone". I was thinking of this for a motto for the chapter "ex cresents they addo purpura lux lucis" I need to find a sutible name for the chapter but and this is when I want you guys to step in. I need to find a name that ties with the revilers and of course the chapter battlecry/motto. Oh and also C+C on what I have so far is appreciated. iron father
Well, my Latin is not so good as it once was, and I think there may be a few typos, so could you please translate your chapter's motto for us? As it is now, we don't have a whole lot to go on, and it could really help us get a feel for your idea. Domani
Oh certinaly, the motto translates as "from the cresents they bring the emperors light" I changed it around, but It is also tied to the motto of my family name :D I like that part to be honest. iron father
Cool. Sounds like a crusading chapter. I suppose that could technically be said of all marines, but you could definitely play that part up if you wanted to. If your family name has a motto, it also probably has some sort of heraldry and a short history floating around somewhere. Have you considered doing some research, and adapting that? For example, my last name is Woolf, and according to a plaque I have, the name originated with a family that was so brave, it drove all the wolves out of England. Now, I don't buy that one bit (is that even zoologically possible?), but it's a cool story. If I wanted to make it into a marine chapter, I'd make up something about my marines being descended from a feral tribe who fought off giant killer wolves or something (sounds a bit familiar). The crescent is an interesting image, maybe they've built their monastery on a moon, maybe they wield ritual scimitars, maybe it's the symbol of the ancient line of kings they draw their ancestry from, or maybe something a bit more abstract?
