Dimreapa
Thought I'd stick these on, seeing as I haven't shown these off on a marine forum yet. the unit http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Dimreapa/Levellers1.jpg Closup of the champion http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Dimreapa/Levellers2.jpg These are my Levellers - they wield Hellcleaver Eviscerators - they cost 40pts each, normal stats but Ws 5 and 2 attacks - chainfists on the first round of combat then at +2 str allowing only 4+ saves or worse in subsequent rounds. They can have furious charge and can strike with their initiative and the champion can have an adamantium hellcleaver eviscerator for +20pts which allows the champion to always count as armed as a chainfist in any round of combat. They are a heavy support choice when the army has a Commander - otherwise they are an elite choice. EDIT: Since then, I've painted them up quite a bit, but they're still not finished - I paint my 40k very slowly. Dimreapa
hey Q, is it ok if you stick it out of the WIP subforum? It'll be eons before I bother to finish them or pic them again, was just something to pop in to cheer myself up that my Chaos aren't quite yet ready to stick up in the forum yet. No big deal really which forum, it's just so people understand it might be a while before they are seen in their full glory. -Q-
Obviously you haven't met Hobbes yet  There's no problem putting stuff over here that won't ever really get finished. It's more about giving direction to the viewers that they're going to see an unfinished project in these threads. I think you'll get plenty of views and suspect this sub-forum will be a very popular clicking point. Cpt. V
those badboys are pretty sick, my only gripe is that they are all in relativly the same pose. besides that, i really like them  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91477-levellers-pics-of-my-marine-unit/#findComment-1050859 Share on other sites
Beornling 3.1415
well what pose do you want them in? flying base displaying some insane darth maul footwork? it's a minor mericle that many of us get even decent paint jobs much less have the time to do Boltman grade work. besidfes I've used the "Sisters of Longinus" in Fanfic and "one of these days" (presumably in line with hell freezing) I might want to make an army of Sisters with Halberds (purhaps build a BP into them. the only stats I've come up with them is I10 when being charged, and the fact that every single one of those girls has Counterattack. Oh yeah, and in the stories they have one witch in their order, but whose going to argue with an Iquisitor's "pet" who causes things to burn in holy flames all by herself. I would have liked to have had two to the left and two to the right and the champion as-is, but I'm pleased enough. Believe me, when I put these bad boys on the table, there's no gripe about poses, they're more worried about their tanks. Dimreapa
Well they were expensive for a start. Champion - is the Company Champion from the command squad box, with tactical arms (I think) positioned to hold a rod I got from some random model's antenna and Devotee Malicant's Eviscerator from the inquisitor range. Troopers - Legs are assault marine legs - each has the tactical sergeant's mk8 rilled armour for the upper torso with normal tactical arms positioned to hold an Inquisitor range chainsword (I have 2 of each) stuck on the rod end of the classic grey knight force halberds. Obviously then green stuff to fill in the gaps. Hope that helps - it cost me about Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91477-levellers-pics-of-my-marine-unit/#findComment-1052925 Share on other sites
