Brother of Fortitude
I love them, a very clean look, I normally hate silver "grey" knights, but the cleanliness, while still looking gothiclyness (heh...) just blows me away, I cannot wait to see the rest of your army! (post pics! all the other people are just too shy to say that!) Kudos, ~BOF P.S. I love the little nurgling waving his fist at the huge dread, classic! Grey Knight
I hate you(read as admire how ell you can paint metallics ). Very nice work on the metals, metals are what i have trouble with myself , part of the reason i paint my grey knights in the old black scheme. mind giving us a recipe for the metal?(trying to collect a bunch of recipes for metal so i can try to improve :D)
bodde
Hi! Finally I have finished my first GK dread with the first set of weapons, still have an assaultcanon and a CC-arm to go. After that I have one more dread to paint. Concerning the painting of metal 1. Boltgun metal 2. Black ink 3. Blue ink 4. Boltgun metal (thin) 5. Chainmail (thin) 6. Mithril (thin) maybe 2 layers Concerning robes i use 2 colors and goes from the dark color and adding a amount of the lighter one in each step. Regulary between 5-10 layers. Importen is to have very thin paints and not to small brush. And the pictures http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKdreadfront.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKdreadleft.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKdreadback.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKdreadright.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/bodde_2006/GKdreadtop.jpg When i have finished the last dread I will post the entire army
GeneralStukov
Nice! I normally dont like silver colored Grey Knights either but these did come out sweet... I usually wish people will do gold ones or some other color not so.. shiney.. but these do look very good..

Probably will add a psycannon Grandmaster, 2-3 Terminators with thunderhammers and a Land Raider.
Incendium
Wow, there is nothing like the look of a completed army! Congrats on finishing it man, they look sweet. The bases really tie it all together, and bring a ruined, overgrown sanctuary look to the army. Awesome work!
rivers3162
Really love your army, I wanted to do a pure GK army at one point but got bored with painting silver! The silver looks fantastic, I tip my hat to you sir! And I love the nurgling on the dreadnought base (not sure if hes running away from it or squaring up to it?) Mulceber
Quick question about the paint scheme, bodde: when you did the black and blue inks, how thinned down were they? BTW, those are some awesome mini's. Perfect Grey Knights. -MT
Dominus Ex Machina
Very nice indeed! I did at one point believe that I would make a pure Grey Knights army but their fate was very much the same as the fate of rivers3162 army, I got bored with painting silver... Again, your army looks great.

Widowmaker
Nice mini's. I love the painting, really crisp - although it maybe needs some litanies on the purity seals and such. Any chance of work in progress shots/tutorial on the bases? Congratulations. Widowmaker
