maelis
So there you have it. I want my termi-armoured codicier to be blue, but all the other models will be painted lime green and bone. A green shoulder pad would be a bit too stark. Also the other models have bone coloured helmets, kneepads and shoulder rims. The Librarian is bare headed and lacks kneepads and has flat shoulder pads :D So how have you tied your librarians into command squads or armies? How can you make them look like they're a part of the force? All painting and modelling tips are welcome, pictures most welcome. Dammekkos
I would just paint him like the rest of the army, don'y let a minor fluff issue compromise the overall look of the army. Maybe include more bone to diferentiate him. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91629-painting-librarians/#findComment-1052775 Share on other sites
-Q-
Paint your blue in a similar tone to the rest of your army. So for a washy green army, do a washy blue. You can match the shoulderpads, color his tabbard the same as other cloth in the army, match weapon colors. Or you could do the "paint one arm blue" thing. Or just a shoulderpad in blue. The IA article on Librarians shows all three variations. EDIT: Just looked up the pics of your army. I think a Librarian would fit nicely with the bone accents if you made your blue similar to your green in tone and style. Freakiq
Make the psychic hood, one shouldpad and arm blue, paint the rest in your army's colours. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91629-painting-librarians/#findComment-1052785 Share on other sites

Grimdarkness
In the I.A article it shows a white scar Libbey with blue legs and grieves and a blue right arm and shoulder pad looks good IMHO. Brother Lysander
I was thinking of trying a split scheme when I get round to my Librarian... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91629-painting-librarians/#findComment-1053302 Share on other sites
Jokersminis
I like a washed out Blue with your Green, I would suggest a split-scheme model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91629-painting-librarians/#findComment-1053361 Share on other sites
Yamez
perhaps paint one half blue, and one half green? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91629-painting-librarians/#findComment-1053548 Share on other sites
Scar Weaver
How's your GS skills? I think the "more bone" idea is an awesome one. Use lots of bones made of GS, think LOtD marines. Then you could use your washed green to fill in the gaps. Use the right iconography and your all set!! I've looked at your work, I know you won't fail to impress.
