Lord Chrisius III
First, a little bit of an introduction to my DIY chapter, the Intrepid Alchemists. In my Chapter, Librarians, Commanders, Tech-marines and Chaplains have been replaced by Alchemists. These guys use alchemy to create the same effects as these either a Librarian, Commander, Tech-marine or Chaplain. Put simply I have a model, call it an Alchemist, but it counts as a Librarian. Now, I have recently decided to make the commander model for my force and I have purchased this miniature from Forge World http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/inqlok.htm. Sorry, but at the moment my camera isn't working, hence that I am only starting this off by asking for basic advice :D First of all, I want to beef this guy up, give him a bigger sword, possibly some sort of jump pack, but I am at a loss as to which parts to use. So I really need help with suggestions of swords I can use, at the moment i am thinking Cloud from Final Fantasy VII. I intend this topic to follow the creation of my Alchemist from beginning to end, sort of a blog of my progress. I will appreciate any help you guys have to offer. Thanks. - I was also thinking, rather than the sword being a traditional power sword, it is somehow better, and therefore has the same stats as twin lightening claws. Just something to get the juices flowing. ;) Q EDIT: Changed title of thread to better reflect the content. librarian_ezekiel
Cool idea for the chapter but u might have to differenciate what is what, like u can't say this one model is a chaplain for one game then a librarian for the next, jsut seems a bit confusing, so maybe paint like black shoulderpad ont eh supposed chaplain and blue shoulderpad on teh supposed librarian also the single sword might seem confusing i'dm say go for 2 so it makes sense as a pair of weapons just my oppinions, other than those few critiques sounds coolio! ~EzEkiEl Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91631-alchemist-advice-wanted/#findComment-1053033 Share on other sites
Lord Chrisius III
I know what you mean, but it will be clear which is which. As for the swords, I akready have an Alchemist with two swords, and i don't wanna use same idea twice  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91631-alchemist-advice-wanted/#findComment-1053162 Share on other sites
librarian_ezekiel
Ahh cool cool, I had an idea about the sword because 1 plain sword(or fancied up) would look confusing how about a 2 bladed sword like a sword with 2 parrallel(sp??) blades if you understand sorta like this please pardon that it's little link from Zelda also if that doesn't suit your fancy maybe a twin sword thing Like this one I dunno may look really cool and fluffy and different then just a sword juct my ideas ~EzEkiEl Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91631-alchemist-advice-wanted/#findComment-1053492 Share on other sites

Khelath
A full metal alchemist fan eh? I think this is a cool idea. (not exactly on topic) I used that theme for my nercomunda gang. Anyway for advice....um I don't have much. So will thier chapter symbol be the same as your avatar? Before I can really add anything else are you using alchemists in the full metal sense i.e. alchemists circles and transmutation etc or do you mean "real life" alchemy (excuse my poor knowledge of the real life variety) i.e. a proto-science such as making poisons and magic potions etc? Once thats answered I'll try to help more...or at all good luck. The general idea is that they use alchemy similar to FMA, but using the power of the warp to fuel the transmutations.
