Bloodthirster90
you could vary where you put the different colours and differ the shades of red in places. maybe blood red for the torso/arms, red gore for the shoulder pads and helmet with scab red for the legs. use any combination of shades to give it a unique look. Big blocks of gold are uncommon I think. If you were to paint a model maybe half red and half gold, you'd have a really unique colour scheme i think. But, the way I see it is if they have their own chapter symbols clearly visible on them, it wouldn't be mistaken for custodes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91771-help-with-paint/#findComment-1054690 Share on other sites
Daeothar
Custodes are pretty unique in appearance and uless you're planning on giving your marines halberds and High Elf helmets, you're okay on the colourfront IMO. :) There's a Thousand chapters (give or take a few), 3 primary colours and 3 secondary, white, black and brown (and all those inbetween, yes, but I'm trying to be helpful here so shush...). Hence, there are bound to be many chapters with the same(ish) colour. In my experience though, there are not that much red and gold chapters out there. in fact, I still need to see the first one...
