Techmarine Dannyl
Greetings All. Seems so long since I last posted, and it is in fact since I haven't since the board's been back up. After a small break from painting anything, what with exams at uni and such. So I thought I'd show of my finally finished Chaplain, who knows some people may even recognise him from when he was just a WIP many, many moons ago. So without further ado, onto the pictures. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v419/Techmarine_Dannyl/Warp_Dragons/chaplain011.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v419/Techmarine_Dannyl/Warp_Dragons/chaplain015.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v419/Techmarine_Dannyl/Warp_Dragons/chaplain016.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v419/Techmarine_Dannyl/Warp_Dragons/chaplain013.jpg Hope everyone likes, looking forward to hearing what you all think, your input will help me improve in the future so dont scrimp on telling me. Thanks a lot, Dan :)>
Blindhamster
thats pretty damn nice! the paint job is very tidy and complimentary :) *thumbs up* only thing i'll point out is the paint looks rather thick on the bleached bone pads (but this could be the light) also... how come the jump pack is a different colour? DragonmasterPeter
I like this model, the shield is really cool. One thing though, the dragon on the top, while looking neat from the side views, seems rather odd looking head on or behind. I can't think of how to fix it without taking it off, maybe you can though =D
st.germaine
Not big on shields in 40K but overall this figure looks great. I like the conversion and the paint job. Any chance we'll see some of the boys he's leading?

Techmarine Dannyl
Cheers for the replies so far. To answer ya comments: @Blindhamster- Yeah I know what you mean about the bleached bone, it does look quite thick and I guess it kinda is which is something i really have to work on, it's 2 coats of vomit brown then 2 of bleached bone to get smooth enough coverage, just got some new bleached bone so hopefully ill be able to get it spot on on future minis. Also regarding the colour of the jump pack, I decided to do it like that so my chappy would fit into my army more as that blue is the main army colour. Also just incase anyone was wondering my chapter is called the Warp Dragons, which should explain the heraldry. @DragonmasterPeter- The dragon on top is really annoying but can actually say its not exactly my fault :D, its just the way its sculpted, so its all kinda wonkey, with nothing i can really do about except greenstuff, and its a bit too late for that. @st.germaine- Glad you like it, I will hopefully get some pictures of the rest of the army up in the near future, along with a fully kitted out command squad, once i can figure out how to do lightning claws for the vet sgt, I want to do them like the shrike artwork, but cant get what i want ;) . @Brother Captain Aruis- That there is a typical bushido helmet, ie its from the chaos marine sprue just had to get rid of a few cables and such with a slight gs touch up and roberts the husband of your aunt, simple, its was getting the old head out that was the annoying part. Keep the input and advise coming. Thanks a bunch, Dan :o
