-Q-
Page 122 starts the 2006 Baltimore Golden Demon Coverage. Congrats to all of the Brothers here that have their Space Marines showcased in this article. I don't know them all but I recognize Joker's BnC Marine on the bottom corner of page 125 (no zooms though ;)), Bushido's Drakemaster on the bottom of p126 with nice zooms of some of the detail work, the infamous Victor Daemon Prince takes up all of p127 with a tight zoom of the banner, wings, and foot/base, and Jake Landis' sweet LotD Champion is the top half of p134 with some cool zooms. I don't know if any of the "showcase" minis belong to BnCers but you should all check it out. If your mini made the coverage let us know! P138 has a certain "Joking" Goblin in the Showcase :) Congrats to all for another round of "show-off" of your wonderful creativity and skill! WOO!! fwf_cypher
got any pics? Im kinda deprived now... a couple of months ago Canada got its own WD, so i no longer get all the cool Golden Daemon/ Conflict pics, as feel quite ripped off, that was one of the best parts !! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91957-us-white-dwarf-319/#findComment-1057211 Share on other sites
Herald_of_Nurgle
Congrats to Joker (somehow I am getting deja vu more than once doing this O_o) and company for their awards or at least trying. I'm also glad I actually was able to find you all in the masses unlike last year  For pictures, I was able to get some of the contests with the process of getting pics of my friend and his brother at Gamesday, so not sure if its ok to post them if anyone wants to see them. And I'm pretty sure Q might have seen them sort of ;) Especially at the conversion table. -Q-
Cypher that really stinks :( Is there any way you can get the US one mailed to you? Or ask your local store to import it for sale? Not sure if they can do that. Sad sad. We can't put up the pics since posting scanned White Dwarf pages is against the rules. Bugger Herald, it is weird to keep talking about it but I think there's some extra coolness in having one's work in print. Call me old fashioned. (or just old?) :( EDIT: For those that haven't seen the coverage at all, you can check out links and discuss in this thread B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/91957-us-white-dwarf-319/#findComment-1057496 Share on other sites
Jokersminis
Cypher- I would suggest going through the US Website, and getting a subscription. It may come late, but you'll be getting the US version. Prot
That's too bad. I just got a Canadian subscription as they started splitting them up between coutries. That's brutal. I know most of the 'Canadian' content so far has been... distant shots of Deathguard and a guy with a bowl cut that answers mail in an angry, hulk like tone. Maybe it'll pick up and we'll see coverage of this as well? /crosses fingers. Grey Knight
well cypher, i too am stuck in your predicament, the Golden Daemons where my favourite part, so much inspiration, and now we get the canada one, with 1 golden daemon per year ;) i hope they post the conflict winners up (for two reasons, i really want one of my minis to be in a white dwarf and conflicts are the closest we have to regional golden daemons). of course one could always check coverage online, right? Edit: Quoting prot: " a guy with a bowl cut that answers mail in an angry, hulk like tone. " I like the hukish, he entertains me, plus he's the canadian photographer. fwf_cypher
Thanx alot, i think ill pop over to the US website and take a gander.. When i asked for pics, i was more or less meaning ones someone took while wandering around at the event. I dont think i can get it imported, maybe i can subscribe though. After all, i think Troops in Afganistan can get it, im pretty sure i prolly could. But if not, looking on the US website should be fine. Prot
Edit: Quoting prot: " a guy with a bowl cut that answers mail in an angry, hulk like tone. " I like the hukish, he entertains me, plus he's the canadian photographer. So you wouldn't trade that for some more Golden Demon coverage? Really? I don't know, it's not that it isn't... entertaining, it's just not really 40K content to me.
