Mini Wanted

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I want to make a (chaos SM) mini that looks like this (well, what he's wearing):

It looks like one of those long coats ( I think it's called a 'drench coat').

Anyway, my real question is what mini do you think I should use to make my chaos SM? It doesnt' have to be a mini from the chaos range (or even from the 40k minis), what mini do you think most looks like that?

thanks,

Cubeface

I like the idea of using Fabius Bile, but I don't really like the model's face ;) I have no idea how to cut it off...

As for the GS ideas, I have NO GS skills what so ever... :( My green stuff skills don't pay the bills...

Thanks for the ideas so far :(

Ahh...mr Jeffery Nothing I see, you gonna give him the X face aswell? lol :D

I might... shhhh..

Removing heads isn't that hard. Get a Hobby Saw like this. You don't need the "Official Games Workshop" one most hobby shops carry something similar. You will be amazed at how easy it will be to cut through models with it. You will probably be happier with the whole thing if you have a Dremel-like tool to smooth out the cut after though.

Don't be afraid of Greenstuff. Pick some up and give it a try. You can search through for tips on how to use it. At the very least it's very helpful for filling in gaps here and there. With practice one can achieve really impressive results with very little effort. It's all about building up a 'bag of tricks' and playing to your strengths.

Give the Dark Angels another look. The guy on the right, Dark Angels Body #2 may be close enough to what you're looking for. If not, then one of the others may work for you. Give a look at your local hobby shop to see if they have them so you can check them out first hand. It's always best to see a model up close before ordering over the internet.

Witch Hunter Crusader 2 would also be a good choice. It'd be easy to stick stuff on his Helmet and give him big Chaos Shoulderpads to make him look a little more Chaosy. Again you'll want a Dremel or a lot of patience to get rid of some of the =][='s.
