Well this ones going to open up a debate but here goes....gulp..... :)

Chapter: Iron Hearts

Primarch: Rubinek

Mentioned in the Black Library book "Maelstorm", short story "Hell in a Bottle".

Iron Hearts were one of the first 20 legions, one of the 2 expunged from Imperial records. Story told of how a neophyte gave in during training and was possessed by a greater daemon, which went onto destroy the entire monastry and all involved. :)

The legion was removed from the Imperial records due to the shame of the act that a brother could be so close to failure that he would give in to Chaos.

Nothing was ever said of the Primarch, but it was beleived that he died during the slaughter.

I am not making this up just to use them as a Chapter of my own, the book has an ISBN and can be looked up, though copies are rarer than Wookie poo! Anyway I collect Sallies and Luna Wolves.....

There is absolutely nothing in that story that makes mention of them being a missing Legion.

The only bit of that up there that is from the short story is the part of the Neophyte getting possessed in the training machine.

That is true, it never mentions them as one of the missing legions, and for good reason too. GW never released information on the 2 missing legions because they wanted to leave it open for people to make their own.

It DOES however, mention a Primarch by the name of Rubinak, but makes no mention of what chapter he is meant to be from. The story doesn't even give a date for referance, so we can't determine if he was actually meant to be one of the original Primarchs, or if the author simply meant that he was the Grand Master of another chapter.

Rubinak certainly wasn't the Primarch/Grand Master of the Iron Hearts, as he was mentioned to be opposed to the Mimesis Machine, and because of this opposition it was given to the Iron Hearts as a training tool for new neophytes. Why would they give it to the chapter whose leader had opposed it?

dont know if these have been mentioned

Widow makers (epic armageddon ) 1 company present during the third war

Patriachs of Ulxis sm codex ultramarines successor chapter

are you going to put them in order of chapter i.e. 1st chapter Dark Angels or are you keeping them in alphabetical order

Thanks azilus. Please make sure you cite the page # to help speed up the verification process.

As for how they will be listed, it will be Alphabetical. After the Original 20 there are less than a handful of Chapters that have their Chapter # mentioned.

I think it should be pointed out that the force disposition chart in the EPIC Armageddon rulebook differs from the one in Codex: Armageddon as its covers a later time period - the Celestial Lions for instance deployed 10 companies at the outset of the war (covered by the chart in C:A), but had been reduced to less than a single company by the time of the EPIC chart - so if your referencing one you should really check both in order to give a correct picture.

Listed:

#213. Tigers Argent

Participated in the Angevin Crusade (that being the liberation and domination of the Calyx Expanse, the region of space that once pacified became the Calyxis Sector - setting of the Dark Heresy RPG)

190:Space Wolves

One of the first 20 founding legions their Primarch is the Leman Russ. The Wolves are from planet Fenris named after a wolf god. Considered close quarters combat. 13 companys but the 13th is lost in the warp for over 10,000 years. Entire chapter holds a grudge against Dark Angels(Russ and Lion had a fight) and Thousand Sons(Russ sent 13th company to wipe out Thousand Sons because Magnus had betrayed the Emperor)

you have a chapter called the relicators..

perhaps that is a typo for the

Relictors

Founded in the 36th millennium as one of the twenty Astartes Praeses Chapters, created to protect the regions surrounding the Eye of Terror.[5] The Relictors were a radical chapter that utilised the weapons of Chaos to destroy the minions of Chaos themselves. This frequently brought them into conflict with the Inquisition, eventually culminating in their space-going fortress monastery being attacked and destroyed by the Grey Knights along with a large proportion of the chapter. Relictors are known for following their own means and objectives during conflicts. It is known they participated in the defense of Cadia during the 13th Black Crusade. A recent White Dwarf article includes a short piece of fiction about their subsequent excommunication by the Inquisition and the destruction of their fortress monastery. Their power armour is dark grey (including trim) with black shoulder pads, and often bears white penitence markings.[2]

The Chapter participated in both the Third War for Armageddon[3] and the defence of the Cadian sector against the 13th Black Crusade.[5]

Relictors and Relicators are both listed as GW Chapters in various places though it is most likely a typo on GW's part. Somewhat similar to how there are the Scythes of the Emperor and the Emperor's Scythes. In all likelihood they are the same Chapter.

Please make sure you are citing sources and not just copying info from the Ironhands site or the Lexicanum.

We have a few new Chapters as listed in the new V5 rulebook as well:

Halo Brethren -- page 124

Doom Legion -- page 132

Vorpal Swords

Crimson Scions -- page 115

The Venerators (listed as 219) and the Warhawks (not listed) are described as being "lost" following the Tide of Blood, a Black Crusade led by the Khornate Daemon Prince, Doombreed. "Lost" is vague, although the implication of the description is that the Chapters were destroyed in the process of defeating Doombreed. This is from Liber Chaotica in the section with the prophesies about the Black Crusades (Khorne section).

Gamer Jeff Durochia designed the Yellow Jacket's Chapter for a White Dwarf contest back in the early 90's.

Also check out this link for official listed chapters with references, if you don't already know about it.

Hello. This is actually my second time posting here. I did post about my chapter when I signed on to this site but, I do not see it anywhere around. My chapters' name is Shadow Crescents and they are of Space Wolf background and are influenced by my ancestral family in Scotland. I will be getting some pics made up and getting an entire origins biographical typed up soon. Just wanted you guys to know about my chapter and to see if you guys can add it to your growing list. Edited by ShadowCrescents
I'm just wondering if you can include a separate list for Orders Militant of the Adepta Sororitas. I don't expect it, no, but it would be nice-- these are power armor armies, as well, and both the Sisters and the Marines fight under the same banner (that of the Imperium).
Then what is this entire game for if not for creativity? Did anyone ever figure out how this game came into existance? It was because of creativity. I saw someone's mini on here that is based off of a white tiger which is NOT approved by GW and it is on here.
Correct. However, the creative process takes place out there, 'there' being the Liber Astartes section where one fleshes out their own DIY Chapters. This forum is for the finished product with some form of documentation at the very least. I could be wrong but that's the way I've understood its purpose...

That I know of:

(Note, all of these begin with "Order of [...]", but I removed it to save space)

For the Militant orders of the Adepta Sororitas, these are the official ones... yeah, only eight that I know of.

Major Orders: The Ebon Chalice, The Argent Shroud, The Valorous Heart, Our Martyred Lady, The Bloody Rose, The Sacred Rose

Minor Orders: The Eternal Gate, The White Rose

Then for Non-Militant orders:

Hospitaler: The Eternal Candle, The Cleansing Water, Serenity, the Torch

Famulous: The Key, The Holy Seal, The Gate, The Sacred Coin

Dialogous: The Holy Word, The Sacred Oath, The Quill, The Lexicon

Sadly, that's all the official ones I know.

Thank you for the info about THIS thread for just the OFFICIAL chapters, good or bad, and the DIY chapters are in a different thread. Can you direct again for THAT particular thread? Also, Melissia, I have a SoB army that I am building for my mrs and have called it the Order of the Snow Shrine.
