Dark Angel Fallen Hunters

Thanks guys! :D

CM Dante: Me too, the second head will be heavily GSed but I'm sure that there is a way of turning them into feasible MkIII heads.

Corellion: Thanks. ;)

Khaardun: Go for it mate! These guys would make great chaos marines. I started on these guys below ages ago as Word Bearers which lead to the Gothic guys I have now. :)

I absolutely love what you've done with these so far. The Bretonnian knight helms work much better than I thought they would, especially with that great cowl. Love the new master and the Chaplain.

But aren't you forgetting something? I thought the Dark Angels wore black armor during the Heresy!

Thanks magnum opera! Still working on the Knight helms but they are slowly developing into something slightly more forty kay.

You're right heresy era Dark Angels were black but these guys are a fourth ed army so I'm painting them good old Dark Angels green. I'm just using the older armour variants to "goth" them up a bit. :)

Thanks Neph! :) They're brilliant for Chosen models if you use regular plastic traitors as they are so much bigger and you can get away with having the original CW boots as shown here.

I originally planned an Iron Warriors Siege Company army using some of these guys to represent original Iron Warrior Legionaires and the regular Chaos Marine plastics as the later halfbreeds.

I even went as far as sculpting this guy as the Daemon Prince in mutated terminator armour (guy in the back is the adept-tech that fashioned the armour for him during the Heresy and ended up being it's power source for his trouble) but never got around to finishing him though. :(

They seem to work really well for chaos stuff! :)

I like the way these guys are progressing. I especially like the way you're doing the robes, they're so much better than the dresses Dark Angels seem to wear normally :) [runs off and hide from the irate DA players]

Oh and I love that Iron Warrior, you really do need to finish him off.

I want to see balconies on top of the tread sections, with pintle-mounted TLLCs. Or pintle-mounted individual lascannons, counting as twin-linked.

And flying buttresses.

Cheers guys. ^_^

NemFX: Hmm, maybe that'd be a better look for Raven Guard than Dark Angels. ;)

StormDragon: Thanks mate. Whilst I like the idea of the robes that regular DA wear it just seems a little impractical and hides most of the power armour. This way you can still see the armour and they don't have to worry about tripping over them.

Penitent Dreadnought: SIR, YES SIR! ;)

I have been thinking about adding the balconies to the track sections actually. A the moment I've got the sponsons in the regular place on the sides but I'll have a go and see if I can come up with something a little more creative. Thanks for the suggestions. ;)

cypher_zero: Fairly easy conversion actually. WFB CW legs, beastman torso and arms, CSM shoulder pads, backpack and bolter with a SW head.

Why not have the sponsons being controlled by marines on the balconies? like AA guns on a ship, think that scene from pearl harbour where Cuba Gooding Jr is firing that Bren? gun. you could use the gunner arms from the vehicle sprue. :) I look forward to seeing more

oh my god! that's how I imagine Petruarbo :P Pleeeeeease finish him!

I'm so jealous of your sculpting skills

The Tech Priest idea is awesome too!

Have you ever converted sth. that didn't look cool as hell? I don't think so :)

Umm... I'm still fairly new to the boards and don't have all the acyronms down yet. Would someone tell me what WFB CW is? and SW?

EDIT: SW = Space Wolves?

WHFB or WFB = Warhammer Fantasy Battles + CW = Chaos Warrior, so Warhammer Fantasy Battles Chaos Warrior B) , and SW is indeed Space Wolves,

And also one might add that I spot a WHFB CW Standard Top as the head of the Crozius and also the backpack is an earlier edition one (3'rd?)

And Doghouse, those Word Bearers are damn sexy <_<

By The Emperor those are cool!!!

Doghouse, you've just soared through the lists of modelers/converters and are headed straight to the top in my book.

I've gotta figure out how to implement this for my Ultramarines Veterans.....

Cheers guys!

I'm sorry about the lack of updates, I've been a little busy of late but more coming soon. ^_^

TheHalifax: I was thinking along these lines, I was thinking of having the guns with built in servitors instead of the little targeters.

tagsta: Thanks mate. I probably will finish him when I get the chance as I just have to clean him up and finish the Great Weapon. I've spent so much of my free time sculpting stuff recently I'm itching to paint something and this guy looks like fun! :D

What's "sth" btw?

cypher_zero: Dark Apostle is right, cheers mate. :)

Dark Apostle: Right on both counts, it's a second ed backpack. :)

The Emperor's Champion: Thanks EC! :)

The_Chaplain/Nephren-ka: The flamer is a fairly simple conversion I cut the nozzle and barrel off the Imperial Guard flamer (you can still see the bit where the bit that attaches to the handle is still on the barrel) and cut the barrel off the Space Marine version where it meets the handgrip and whacked the IG one on. Dead easy but really effective. The legs like Neph pointed out are just plastic Warhammer Fantasy Battle Chaos Warrior legs. :)

Oh damn it, I wanted to answer that question too for you :P
