WIP Deathguard Daemon Prince

Hey guys!

This is just something I've been playing around with whilst working on other projects to keep me focused and stop myself from going slightly mad (more Pre-heresy WE on the way once I've finished a model for someone).

This is pretty much a maxed out Chaos Lord (all 160pts worth) specifically designed for close combat. It's mainly chaos gifts and the like but I'm not giving him any weapons other than the great weapon.

I've used the WFB Giant as the the torso and added an old set of Defiler legs to give him a bit of bulk and drive home the fact that he's a daemon prince. I've left off two of the legs so as to create more of a centaur model rather than a scorpion which is probably better suited to Khorne.

With the load of leftover bits from the WFB giant I've used the hoofs and loin cloth for this potential DG dreadnought as well.

Cheers guys!

Quick update...

I've started to add the tattered remains of his power armour to make him look a little more 40k. The left shoulder pad is starting to take shape although it'll be fragmented with some of the under armour showing through.

Quick update...

I've removed the Dragon skull club and started on a scythe which as I'm told is more nurglie. Rather than just chuck the skull in the bits box I've bored it out and used it as a shoulder pad which I''ll add straps to his skin to hold it in place.

fireangel : Thanks mate, appreciate that.

GREY88: The hooves were kind of an after thought. I was looking using them on the DP but then remembered a dreadnought kit I had lying around and just put the two together. Please feel free to use the idea.

Coronzom/Biohazard: I had toyed with the cyclops idea but wasn't too sure about how it'd look. What I've done instead is have the left eyeball dangling from the socket so that it looks like a single eye is taking shape. The steam punk engine on the back is intentional like Steerpike pointed out to make it look more run down and primative.

More to follow...

I going to say that the scout was sooo screwed, but then in the next pictures he wasn't there anymore. It leads me to believe that he either was smashed to bits, or he ran.

I'm thinking he went out in style, and was eaten. Here is to that poor and brave scout.

But awesome conversion. I'm really liking the almost steam powered thing he has going on. And that dangling eye... sooo Nurgle, it isn't even funny. But keep it up! I want to see this thing painted.

As Biohazard said above, this DP screams DOOM 3 to me... the more I see it, the more I' m thinking of those mechanical-enhanced demons...

Very very scary conversion (in a brilliant way) !!

Just can' t wait to see it finished... and painted...
