Chaptermaster Graymantle
Yeah, it's to bad that GW haven't opened the campaign contents for casual viewing. ^_^ I wont be adding anything to the Order of the Storm as it is like that originally, and the Valoris Imperator is actually that top heavy. :D The Valoris is my favorite medal because it is so different from most medals and has almost no skull to it. Besides; I'm sure that huge gold eagle is just a chocolate eagle wrapped in gold paper. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/96792-medusa-v-medals/page/2/#findComment-1115831 Share on other sites
Chaptermaster Graymantle
Doh! Don't know why I didn't think of this before, but I have now just added a direct link to the original image from GW at every medal I've posted; so now people can see the original as well as my interpretation of it. So no log-in, just click and compare. Cheers! Chaptermaster Graymantle
Nope, no redisgn. But I needed images for the update Im working on for my website and couldnt just use GW's, so I decided to make my own. :) Today I've been working on another image for the update though, and it has nothing to do with medals I'm afraid. Still thinking about remaking the M5A3 medals though... Cptn. Palladorus
Indeed, all the medals do contain a skull!GW really, really, really like skulls! Skulls are a holy symbol to the Imperium, representing the Imperial Creed, as well as at one time being a symbol of the Emperor Himself. That's why Chaplains, Priests, Inquisitors, the Guard, and even the AdMech all use a skull as their symbol. And very impressive work, Chaptermaster Graymantle. Chaptermaster Graymantle
Thanks you CaptainPalladorus! ;) And, indeed, skulls are considered to be a holy symbol of the undying Emperor within the Imperium. EagleWarrior
Those all look great. Reminded me of the Napolean Bonaparte quote: "A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/96792-medusa-v-medals/page/2/#findComment-1126084 Share on other sites
Chaptermaster Graymantle
Thanks! I actually thought about that quote while the Medusa V Campaign was still ongoing...
