I recently completed this model as part of a commission, it was a bit of a faff to build, but really good fun to paint :)

It *is* a pre-Heresy craft. The XX Legion were this colour before getting pimped out with green.

great model, i like the weathering on the wings how do you paint and weather the engines??

Cheers! The engines were weathered by airbrushing washes and then a bit of sponge weathering :)

Amazing Storm Eagle! I spent a long time looking at your Alpha Legion force in the Army showcase the other day. That is one truly inspirational army. So fluffy, all in glorious MKIV. If I was going to do a pre heresy Alpha Legion force that's exactly how I would do it.
